Checked out the scene in PV for a weekend

Puerto Vallarta

Anthropology - not sure how they stay in business.  they are so far over and really don't have any good guys.  The past several trips I did go to check it out and it was like I was waking them up by coming in.  Was only a handful of other customers.  Used to be amazing back in the day.  Big private rooms upstairs.  No cover. Cash only bar and entertainers, anything goes.

Wet - Love the redesign - Shower behind the bar looks awesome.  good amount of entertainers each night prob 15. Stays open late till like 3am or 4am depending on the crowd.  No cover.  Cash only for most bar or entertainers.  The bar does take cards if you pay a certain amount of buy bottle service - just not for a few drinks.  Back room 500 pesos and were large with benches.  Entertainers anything goes 1500 pesos.  They do do shows in the open in the shower behind the bar nude and on a pole in the back of the and will come pester for tips weather you watched the show or not which is annoying.

Club 69 - Fun club.  No cover charge.  Cash only bar and entertainers.  2 levels which is cool.  Private rooms downstairs 500 pesos with padded bench and large mirror. Entertainers were 1500-2000 pesos for anything goes.  They are aggressive on their public shows and demanding tips.  half the guys are fun, half are asleep on uninterested and on their phones.  the manager gets on the PA and tells people to either tip or leave which kinda annoyed me.

B-Mine (formerly Pervert) - wow nice space.  Completely gutted the old Pervert club and renovated it.  Upon entry as you go up to the second level, if you look up you walk under a shower with a plexiglass floor and can see the guys showering above you (if someone's in there).  Club has 2 poles and multiple backrooms.  No cover charge and they *do* accept credit cards for both the bar and backroom/entertainers.  Backrooms are the nicest and there is also a suite in the basement with a hot tub and bed. Only a handful of guys, two of which were hot and did offer pretty reasonable private show fees.

Casa Capula - Has full nude pool parties and reg pool parties.  Both feature go-go dancers who offer extra services in a side area

Tijuana

Premier Mens Club - Fun club.  Went two nights back to back.  One for their Mens Only night and one for regular night.  Mens only was cool but I felt like there was less dancers.  They do have more m4m shows with full action, and some audience interactions.  I felt the non-mens only night/regular night was better.  There was a lot more dancers and better vibe.  Probably 20 or so dancers on a long catwalk with poles at each end.  music is loud and the same beat all night.  Drag shows at like 2am.  They still open till 5 or 6am.  Mixture of seats along side the stage as well as high top tables and booths.  There is a dark room for guests and private room in the club as well.  If at any point you want to talk to the dancer or want an open floor lap dance, either signal the entertainer or tell a waiter who will get them for you. They dance and grind on you for few minutes as long your tipping.  USD is welcome here as well as Mexican Pesos.

Private was $500 pesos for the room and varies what for the entertainer.  Private room is behind the main bar and you have to be buzzed in.  two rooms with curtain booths that have a chair and mirror.  Had some fun back there.  Club seems to be cash only.  There is a cover charge of 100 pesos. ATM is down the street at the casino or in one of the gad stations.  Be careful as Tijuana is a major strip club city for straight guys and police are known to shake people down regularly.  Uber between the border and the club and back.  It's literally 5 minutes each way but worth it.  Club has always been safe.  There is a bath house above it by the same owner with rooms to rent and hotel next door that the entertainers recommend for more in-depth shows with rooms for $40 usd.

Mr. TJ Mens Spa / Only Boys Spa - New Mens Massage Studio for gay men. Has 12-15 masseurs working offering various massage. Sports, tantric and more.  Tantric both parties are nude and was 1400 pesos. Well run, clean and professional. Takes cards.  Had Jean-Carlos who was amazing.

Thanks for this thorough report of the two cities that I have gone to for the male stripper bars! I learned some good information! Like: I could’ve used my card for the entertainers or doing privates at B-Mine. I did use my card for drinks and was generous buying drinks for dancers as well - which I think is good karma that goes a long way! Also, thanks for the info on Anthropogy. I had gone there years ago but didn’t make it on the last two trips there this past year. Sad to hear it was not good. I loved my time there years ago. Didn’t know that the BMine backrooms were the nicest. Will have to try to do a backroom, especially since they take cards for that! Also, I’ll have to try the new men’s spa in Tijuana. I have a particular body type desire for my entertainers (muscles…), so I’m wondering if the masseurs would be up to “standard?”

Fully agree with most of what you have said with a few exceptions but could absolutely imagine that the logistics vary depend on the night’s crowd, whether the bars are busy, etc.  Some examples:

PV Club 69 - Never found the dancers being aggressive about getting tips after their stage shows. Yes they walked around but never did they stop and harass me for a tip but I often would have a tip prepared. Also, I noticed that if I was having some private conversation to getting a lap dance at my table, the just-off-the-stage dancer would never interrupt. So that might be the “protocol” there.

TJ Premier - The bar does accept credit cards for drinks but you have to run a tab and there may be a minimum but I never worried about the minimum because I knew I was going to spend plenty on dancer drinks. One important thing to know: the protocol there is as long as you buy the dancer a drink, they have to spend time with you at your table. If you keep the drinks coming, they spend lots of time with you. I literally bought pitchers of drinks for dancers I wanted to spend time with and ended up keeping two of them at my table for most the the nights that I was there (like 5 or 6 hours!). Now, I was also tipping them so not only were they making money on their drink commissions but they were quite happy with the tips they got from me. The first time I did the drink & tips thing, one of the guys was just itching to get me in the backroom for a private. But I didn’t want to just spend my money on a quickie and be done. So in his case, I kept telling him to go get tips from other patrons that wanted to have a public lap dance. He was hesitant at first because it’s against the protocol, but when he realized he could be “double dipping” he seemed to be okay with it and just kept coming back to my table to finish his drink.

thanks again @MrDakota for your review! And I can’t wait to hear about other cities in Mexico!

Be very careful using credit cards at strip clubs in Mexico.  The previous strip club at B-Mine's location (Pervert) had several reviews from customers who were scammed by staff.  The customers tried to pay with credit card, and the staff told the customers the card was declined and had to use the ATM and pay the tab with cash.  Then, when each customer returned home, the customers found the credit card charge had indeed gone through so they paid twice.  They couldn't dispute the charge with the credit card company because it wasn't a duplicate charge.

This almost happened to me at Pervert (now B-Mine) in Puerto Vallarta.  I paid my tab with a credit card, and when staff told me the charge didn't go through and I had to pay in cash, I immediately called my credit card company to find out why the charge didn't go through.  After waiting on hold for what seemed like an eternity, the credit card company told me the charge went through.  As soon as I told the staff that they said okay and let me be on my way.  It was only later that I read the multiple reviews of this same scan which got other customers paying twice.  I was able to catch it, but the staff is counting on you being drunk and wanting to leave to go meet more guys

I agree with all of your comments about the clubs in PV. I have been several times and have had the same experiences. I am curious about the comment about the dancers at Casa Cupula doing services in the side area. I have never ventured down to the "Secret Garden" and presumed it was for guests to play. The dancers have always been chatty and flirty with me and given me their numbers, but did not realize there was on site service. I am intrigued by this.

Just visited Wet Dreamz and learned a new scam.

Stripper grabs me as I walk in and asks if I want to do a private, I can fuck him. He was cute so I asked how much. He said “600 for the room and 400 for the sex” I said that 400 pesos ($20) is really cheap. He said its late and he wants to make some money at the end of the night. I said OK.

When it was over, I felt generous and gave him 1,000 pesos (about $50). He said “no, $400 USD.” I reminded him of our conversation and said I can talk to the manager to straighten it out. He accepted the money and we went our separate ways.

I’ve always advocated for Wet Dreamz despite its reputation here. Not any more. Avoid it.

No one had ever quoted me USD for anything anywhere ever in PV. You don’t expect it, it’s an easy miss, and a younger me would be way too timid to have said anything. Be careful, guys, and please share this.

My two cents.

I am in PV right now, and I agree about Anthropology, down the drain. Wet Dreams got on my nerves. They had a cover charge the night I went, the guys were pushy, not the best quality, and one after another like making a line offering me a private. The setup behind the bar looks great but was empty. Not a great night.

The B-Mine was great, but didn't have many guys (I know it's slow season, but I counted three strippers and one of them was just sitting waiting to get fucked in front of everybody by some other one at the live sex show (didn't know that they had it, and didn't stay for it).

Club 69 had some kind of Cirque du Soleil type of act with some dancer going up and down wearing a mask and some kind of robe. The biggest turnoff was how many damn women were there (say what you like, I don't think they belong there), and the way they were acting was even worse than their already off-putting presence.

So, my recommendation is to go to PV during season, when there are plenty of strippers, better weather (there's a hurricane south of PV) and hopefully better luck.

It's never occur to me to use card to pay  anything there, and always in pesos.

That's more action than I've ever seen at B-Mine during high season.  I wish it the best of success
