Recommended free VPN

Years ago, someone here was kind enough to recommend the free VPN 'https://hide.me/en/proxy' to read RentMen reviews (since they are not visible in the US).  We were advised to choose 'Germany' and to check off all the boxes in the 'other options' menu. It was working fine for years, made me spend a lot of money on guys who were explicitly reviewed (and saved a few dollars, too).  However, the past few months only a 'black screen' shows up for reviews. Am I doing something wrong ?  I know I have the option to paste the website page address as 'plain text' (in the search box) or paste 'as I copied it' - I've tried both ways, same results.

If this site is no longer working with RM reviews, does anyone have any other recommendations ? It would be much appreciated, my friends !

The hide.me site still works for me, but only if I use a rentmen.eu link.  It does not work properly with rent.men links.  Also, hide.me has never worked for me using Firefox; I use Chrome.

This is the one which I've used in the past - recently, it's not loading the page of reviews for me - just getting a black page, no text where the reviews should be.

The VPN? "Hide.Me" itself is the website URL. If there's another element i'm missing i wouldn't know though, i use a different VPN personally, but i've heard this one is good too.

If using a Windows computer, here are some hints:

Use Chrome browser, not Firefox.

Paste the URL from rentmen.eu, not rent.men

I'm on Mac, so maybe it's different. But a VPN should let you see review text on rent.men in Firefox. It should work on both rentmen sites in either of those browsers. Might depend on the VPN and if it's a standalone app versus a browser plugin though. Mine is a standalone app. So the browser or which rentmen link i use doesn't really matter.

The link I use is:  https://hide.me/en/prox    Type the escort's Rentmen address in the space on the right-hand side of the hide.me page and it links to you to the RM page in Europe with reviews disclosed.

I'm a bit puzzled by your reply to me since so much in your reply is different.  1. Windows.  2. Using the Hide.me website VPN Proxy, not a VPN standalone app or browser plugin.

If I could I would show you on my computer why I posted what I did.  I'm not saying it's true for everyone, but on my computer if I use Firefox I get an endless cycle of popups asking me to acknowledge I'm over 18 to proceed to either Rentmen.eu or Rent.men.  I can keep clicking to acknowledge that over and over in Firefox but the page never loads.  Using Chrome I typically have to click the acknowledgement twice and then the page loads.  And, using Chrome, if I use rent.men for the URL then I just get a spinning circle and the advertiser's page never loads.  Using rentmen.eu, the page loads as it should and then I can click the link to read the reviews.  

I just verified that both of these things are still true.

Yes i realized after StLouisOct's reply that you guys are talking about a totally different thing than i thought you were. I didn't know hideme had url link that was a magic VPN link that you guys have been passing around the forum that somehow makes the rentmen sites work without needing a proper browser plugin or an app which is how i'm used to using VPNs and why i supplied the experience i have using a full VPN app that doesn't have those limitations you listed. Especially because generally Macs are considered less "techy" or capable than Windows computers. So to me it seemed there's no reason you should be having those issues if i'm able to do it on a Mac, but there may be other issues/factors i'm unaware of at play. Was just trying to help from a more general perspective 🤷‍♂️. Forget i said anything.
