I sometimes see really hot guys on Grindr. If They link to Instagram accounts but sometimes they seem … off. No friends, no personal info, sexy photos, but vague. I guess what I’m getting at, are there service providers on Grindr that don’t have RM accounts or list masseurfinder.

The short answer is yes, there are service providers on Grindr that don’t have RM accounts or list masseurfinder. There are also quite a few scammers as well.

Absolutely.

But there are probably more scam artists on there, than there are actual providers.

Most seem to be luring older men to spend a lot to get a little (or virtually nothing). A lot of fake massage with the opportunity to touch their body while you jerk yourself off. Others are just a lot of promises and then send you a request for a deposit. Which, of course is equivalent to tossing your cash in the toilet and flushing. You'll never see anything for it..and they disappear immediately once paid.

Sure, but very unlikely. It’s worth considering why that provider is using a less-trafficked site to stir up business. They’ve probably been banned elsewhere. Typically these guys are luring in deposits or selling videos. Very often the photos are fakes. And they know that desperate men will click “make payment” on the mere hope that the photo that’s talking to them will become real. 
 

I always report these accounts.

A lot of the fake Grindr profiles are scams looking to engage in data mining, identity theft, and credit-card fraud. They use PayPal to "reserve a time" and use that to either to pocket the deposit and disappear or--worse--worm their way into your online identity or accounts.

Yes. On Grindr they ALWAYS ask for deposits. It's like a side gig for some people.

The weirdest thing I get on Grindr are hot Asian men who want to enter a relationship immediately. How did they figure out I like Asian, or Latino, or Black men a lot?

They don't. They send those to every old gay guy, assuming you're lonely.

I assume they're phony. I just block them. Or sometimes, if I'm in a more playful mood, I'll be over-the-top effusive about their interest, and often they just don't know what to do with that.

Sometimes I tell them "If you're being forced into doing this by human traffickers, respond with the words 'What do you do for work?'" Sometimes I say my profile is being monitored by the FBI. Sometimes (when I'm feeling evil) I say my profile is being monitored by Immigration.
