Will Darcy Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 i have contacted a guy thru his contact info from rentmen. he is in touch with me. i see his site on rentmen is not on anymore. even though it was up just last week. he still is responding to my call and says he can meet. should i read anything negative into the site being down?
nycl4escort Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 It would certainly give me pause, and likely not cause me to follow through with meeting them. Were they well-reviewed on the site when you make initial contact?

Maybe he's just hidden his ad... ( we can do that very easily ) I do it all the time when my schedule is filled. You may be over thinking it. Consider asking him why his ad is no longer listed or visible, he may have a perfectly reasonable explanation. It's much easier to hide the ad than to keep telling people you no longer have availability. Edited December 24, 2024 by Vin Marco Luv2play, + KensingtonHomo, NJF and 3 others 5 1

If he otherwise seems good, I think @Vin Marco explanation is most likely. Like everyone else, providers may be taking time off. Two of our regulars are visiting their families for the holidays so they've noticed they're unavailable. Particularly if someone is going to their hometown, they might hide their profile so they're not stumbled upon by someone they know. Vin Marco and Whippoorwill 2

It can be a bit confusing, not only can we hide our ad, but we can also mark our ads "unavailable" when we are completely booked up but in the past, it has confused people that I have an appointment with in the upcoming future and they reach out and ask if everything is OK.... so yes, it can be very confusing so it's best just to ask. Once again, sometimes I hide my ad and sometimes I mark my ad unavailable simply because I'm completely booked and I'd rather not keep telling people the same thing over and over; it just saves time. + KensingtonHomo and Whippoorwill 2
+ KensingtonHomo Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 As a client I prefer that a provider note in their ad that they're not available. Especially if I'm traveling, I don't want to waste time reaching out to guys who can't see me. Vin Marco and Whippoorwill 2
Vin Marco Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Sorry, but to add to the confusion almost always when I get home from a long trip where I've seen a lot of people and I've been very busy, I both hide my ad and I mark it "unavailable" The features have their purpose, It's just a bummer that sometimes it can be confusing for folks.. moonlight 1

Technically, if a provider hides his ad or removes it from the listings, the only people that can see it are those that have bookmarked it but I agree with you. I use the unavailable feature a lot.
Vin Marco Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 @KensingtonHomo often I even go as far as typing in the headline that I'm "UNAVAILABLE until Feb 1" and toggle the "unavailable" button and people still reach out asking if I'm available at the moment 😳🙄😬🫠 😂 ( it all comes with the territory ) Whippoorwill, + KensingtonHomo, Simon Suraci and 1 other 2 2

That's not an exaggeration. I have an asterix in my profile with an explanation that I'm not a massage therapist, that I do I offer those services nor do I advertise as a MT but yet....... 😂 "what's your massage rate?" 😵💫 Most often just for clarification, I ask people I've never met before exactly what they are seeking and I get, "an erotic massage" 😬🤦🏻♂️ Edited December 24, 2024 by Vin Marco
Simon Suraci Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 I would read nothing into it. You’re still in contact, with all signs of him interested in meeting you for a session. Green means go. Try not to overthink it. Have fun! Whippoorwill, MikeBiDude, mike carey and 2 others 2 3

Will Darcy Posted December 31, 2024 Author Posted December 31, 2024 thanks for the input. my concern- though perhaps overthought- is if the law caught up with him and this is being used as a sting. others may have more knowledge of this kind of thing than i. any input you have is most welcome. thank you Lookin___ and Vin Marco 2

Some men are so popular that they don't need to advertise often, and choose not to "capitalize" (PUN INTENDED) the Rent Men platform for long periods of time. Vin Marco 1
BuffaloKyle Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Did you ask him what happened to his ad? I'd do a face time call to make sure he's legit as far as he is the guy in the pics that were on the ad and don't send any money upfront.

Guys can be available and never reply and unavailable and have a wide open schedule. It really depends if the guy uses that function knowingly. Whippoorwill 1
