ayk000 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Two providers I have come across and am thinking about hiring have it listed in their profiles that they require a deposit for outcalls. Is deposit for outcalls becoming expected? Regardless, is the advice still a strong "no" on deposits even for outcalls?

jmichaeliii Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 The majority of the time I agree the answer is no, but I have paid them a few times depending on my vibe with the providers profile and interactions. I also consider if I am from out of town and how far they are traveling for me. For example I was traveling for work and was out of state and the provider had to travel a bit over an hour to meet and asked for $50 upfront. I thought that was reasonable as I could have easily been a flake in his mind. It all worked out fine. I've done it 3 or 4 times with no problems. ayk000, + lvmssg, + Pensant and 1 other 2 2
Cretus Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 (edited) If a provider is 2+ miles from me, I’m fine with a small deposit if I’ve met them before. If it’s my first time meeting them, and they ask for a deposit, I’ll offer to uber or Lyft them to me. Uber/lyfting them serves both as a sign of commitment to them, and a way to monitor their journey to me. Edited December 7, 2024 by Lolito dbar123 and ayk000 2
+ JamesB Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I have a NO deposit rule. My concern with deposits is that they solely benefit the provider and offer no protection to the client. Additionally, there's a privacy risk and the possibility of creating a paper trail that could come back to bite you later. Since most providers don't require a deposit, I prefer not to pay one. peter831, Vin Marco, Moke and 6 others 5 4

I say this and ask with a smile on my face but why would a provider who's met you before ( presumably he trusts you ) ask for or need a deposit? I thought only first timers felt a need for deposits to prevent a flake situation... no? Edited December 7, 2024 by Vin Marco ayk000, + Pensant, Njguy2 and 6 others 5 4

Very very rarely have I needed to cancel such things, but the cancellation can happen due to unexpected events on my part. The provider has scheduled time with me, declined other people for that time slot, perhaps prepped, and maybe even altered their diet on my behalf. I would definitely trust a repeat provider, but the deposit helps assure them that their scheduling and preparing time won’t be in vain in case of an emergency. Moke Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Reading this forum and common sense has taught me to say no to deposits. Never. ayk000 1
ICTJOCK Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 I've never asked for a deposit, but generally if I have to travel to a client, I have had some dialogue in advance and feel comfortable in going without any sort of deposit or money in advance. I can see the alternative, I can see when it would seem to make sense. + Jamie21 and ayk000 1 1

I feel the same way about paying for a provider’s Uber or Lyft—just factor it into your fee. Don’t tell me. I don’t want to use my personal account to arrange transportation to/from or know where you live. That’s none of my business. Many first-time providers only offer outcalls, so you end up covering the cost of the hotel and their transportation (in addition to their fee). + JamesB, ayk000, Moke and 2 others 2 3
harlow Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 If you would have no issue with tossing cash in a camp fire then sure send your deposit because that’s the risk you’re taking. It only takes one time to losing your money and then you realize how much of a risk it is. It’s just my own personal preference but I don’t send deposits of any kind. I’m more than willing to pay for an Uber or Lyft to my hotel or pay for your parking as long as we have negotiated that up front and they understand that I will pay upon arrival. I prefer if they include all that in the rate they ask for but it’s not that big of a deal. Providers that I have seen before don’t even bother to ask for deposits or travel funds because they know that I’m not a flake and I will pay. Vin Marco 1
+ Jamie21 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 I don’t ask for deposits for an out call. If I get red flags in the interaction then I’d rather decline the booking than bother with a deposit. If someone wants me to travel for over an hour to get to them then unless they pay the whole fee up front I’d decline the booking. It’s just not worth the risk. harlow 1

I totally appreciate your point of view and I think it’s reasonable. Honestly I don’t think it’s bad if a provider asks for deposits. After all it’s your business. I’m the type that would prefer an incall on the escort’s turf if it’s our first time to elevate any of those issues. We as clients shouldn’t be surprised if an escort asks for a deposit for a first time meeting especially when it entails traveling long distances. It’s enough risks to go around but it’s up to both parties to decide what they’re willing to accept. jmichaeliii 1
