hardgrinder Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 What do you make of an escort who makes an engagement and then blocks you on rentmen? Not sure what to make of this.
Moke Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 If you had an appointment and he flaked on you and blocked you for no good reason (or did he have a reason?)… then you report your experience here (with a LINK to his AD) so others can add that data point to all the things they consider when considering hiring him + Pensant and + JamesB 2
+ KensingtonHomo Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 That's odd. I'm assuming you didn't meet. I agree with @Moke.
maninsoma Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Makes an appointment with you and then blocks you before the appointment is scheduled? If that's what happened, then what I would make of it is that the guy is confused unless you've left out other details. Why would a business person schedule a meeting in order to make money and then do something to communicate to the client that they don't want their business? It makes no sense. If your appointment required sending a deposit and then you got blocked after sending money, what I make of it is that the guy is a con artist and you've got taken.
+ DrownedBoy Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 He was playing with you. Or got cold feet. Or changed his mind Who cares. Flag him on the Deli or Spa as a flake. Hen, jackcali and soloyo215 2 1
dbar123 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Sounds like you dodged a bullet and saved some $$$. You would have really been pissed if he met with you and did a lackluster job
big-n-tall Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 This happened to me recently. It's hella annoying but as @dbar123 stated you probably dodged a bullet. You also saved money to use for another potential hire or some other expenditure. You can't control others' idiosyncrasies. Just move on and find someone better. soloyo215 and Moke 2
Simon Suraci Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Report your experience on a provider specific thread here on CoM. Reputation matters. The pros won’t behave in such ways. The least he could do was cancel your appointment. Professionals and adults communicate. Amateurs and children block, ghost, or no-show.
ICTJOCK Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 (edited) Well kind of hard to provide a complete answer here. We'd need to know more about the interaction between you and the proposed provider. I would never block an interested client if we were having simple polite interaction. If it became aggressive, derogatory or disrespectful, I might block the guy. I assume it was a simple interaction. If he did block you after you booked him without any sort of discussion, I'd assume he wasn't someone you'd want to hire int he first place and find someone else.
