This weekend there is a masseur and his partner (AnthonyHung and Liam) traveling in my area. Each has a separate ad, but each ad (and reviews) mention the '4 handed experience'.  I'm not interested in a 4 handed massage - had a couple of them, and it just didn't do it for me (never felt relaxed).  So I reached out to Anthony (more my type) for a solo massage. Contacted him twice - no response.

I'm curious if I should now reach out to his partner Liam (my second choice). He's not as attractive to me as Anthony, but I wouldn't mind spending an hour with him having him give me an erotic massage with mutual touch. How long should I wait for a response / no response from the first choice (Anthony) before I reach out to the second (Liam) ? If I do, should I (or do I need to) mention I already reached out to Anthony ?

Realistically, there's a good chance they are only booking 4 handed today, and neither responds to me.

Don't feel like you should wait longer than 30-60 minutes.

When providers get back to me, I just say: Dude! That was an hour ago!

However, in my experience, partners don't like it when someone goes behind their back. There's a certain Chicago pair, but I once texted one when they were angry and he vented on me. So I tried to hire his partner. His partner tried to get me to hire the other guy again, but I flatly refused. I don't tolerate backtalk from some little nobody brat.

I don't think an hour is long enough. What if you initiated contact when he was just beginning a session. I wouldn't expect him to tell his current client "hold on, please while I talk to my next client." I would say at least 90 minutes to 2 hours. If you are in a bigger hurry than that, move on.

I usually do wait three hours, minimum. I understand they may have an hour appointment or even a two hour appointment (which, according to many reviews on various providers, seems to be more common these days).

As it turned out, the original provider did finally get back to me in 2.5 hours to let me know he was booked solid all weekend (and was heading home on Monday morning). He apologized for the late response (keep in mind, I originally contacted him 24 hours earlier - this was my 'reminder' text to let him know I was interested in an appointment). I then asked if his partner had any availability for a solo appointment, and apologized in my text to him if this was inappropriate to ask him.

He responded that his partner was also booked solid, and no - it was most definitely not 'inappropriate' to ask. As he said, 'After all - we are both very good at what we do and want to provide services to all who are interested. We'd rather you book with us, then go somewhere else - so don't feel hesitant to ask either one of us about each other's availability. I'm certain other professional duos feel the same way'.

I thought that was very kind and professional of him.

Also - if a provider marks themselves as "Available Now," and they don't get back to you in a few minutes, feel free to move on if you're in a hurry.

If they don't respond to texts during that time, you're fully within your rights to contact someone else. They told you they were available, but they really weren't.

As stated by others before... Not everyone in the business has a handler answering their text messages.

If you contact someone at the beginning of an appointment you won't hear back from him for at least an hour.

Would you like someone to be using his phone while he is with you?

Bad luck to such providers. That's business.

If one if not available, and the other is, and he's still within your level of interest, I'd say reach out to him. Worst case scenario, the first one answers later and you might have to cancel with the other. Even if they share their contacts, I'm sure that it's not the first time that a client reaches out to one first.

Personally I don;t see a problem.
