Jordan was THIS close to taking over the lead in Moulin Rouge on Broadway...  And I woulda paid whatever they wanted to hear him sing it.

But, this show has great music and it'll fit him like a glove.  I saw the run while it was at Papermill last year.  I'm sure they'll spend a mint to bring it to Broadway.

You’ve read the book. Probably have seen the movie(s) and now, ta dah, the musical. Both the leads, Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada have powerful voices and used them full throttle in today’s performance. There were lots of 20’s inspired dance numbers performed by a really talented ensemble. Suitably sumptuous sets and costumes made the stage dazzle.

Is The Broadway fully back to a traditional proscenium stage?

I saw the Great Gatsby on Broadway last week.  I've very much enjoyed it and would see it again.  I read the book in high school; but, I was surprised at how many theater patrons older than me had not read the book and were surprised at the ending. 

The acting, music, sets, cars, and dance numbers were beautiful.  However, it was such a grand musical that during some numbers the stage felt a little bare... It could have used twice the number of dancers to better fill the stage.
