Me too, and it seems (for obvious reasons) to be more common here in NYC. I have occasionally booked a hotel — in my own fucking city!!! — solely to meet up with a guy who I otherwise couldn’t see. But I’m not made of money!

Yes, I can’t imagine having to spend money on a hotel room in your own city… part of the reason I’m looking at hiring a provider in the first place is to take my inability to host out of the equation.  I have twice in my life split hourly hotel rooms with particularly hot hookups when neither of us could host, but it kind of defeats the purpose of paying a provider.
