Share GPS Info?

I had a guy ask me to share my GPS coordinates so he could be ready by the time I got there.  Absolutely not, seems highly suspect.  Has anyone else been asked this?

Guys have given me their GPS coordinates when they are hosting, so this isn't new to me. I don't think this is a suspicious request. You can give him the GPS coordinates from the next block over from your home and the distance/travel time will be virtually the same.

Are you at sea 🌊 ? I just give my navigation app ETA when they want my arrival. I also request the same when someone is coming to me.

I used to be able to calculate distances between two latitude/longitude coordinates. Lost art, I don't don't particularly miss it!

If you’re going to him, what’s the risk? It seems he’s giving you his location so the risk is his, not yours.

He probably figured it would be less invasive than asking for your address.

I'll try that. Usually I ask for a nearby address to estimate distance, so I'm not asking for their address outright.
