Another thing to remember - we can leave trace of identity without realizing it - using the providers wifi, having Bluetooth devices that include our name that can be picked up on a pairing device if our settings allow etc - it’s often a matter of who is technically more savvy and actually wants to capture the info.

I know the thread is old, but it’s still topical

For years I have had a separate phone number dedicated to this kind of play. Initially it was a shitty flip phone; now I have a Hushed number. I do have WhatsApp connected to my main number and WhatsApp Business connected to the alternate number. If a provider is going to pass on me because they can’t stalk me, then my extra effort worked. I’m sure I have missed out on some great guys because of my paranoia, but far fewer than the disasters I avoided. If a guy wants to see that I’m real, they can see that I have left positive reviews in the past and I will engage in discussions before the meeting. They don’t need my job description or political affiliation to spend an hour sitting on my face.

He will never find out by searching my cell phone number. Here is the beauty of not owning a smartphone, and only using a cell phone for emergencies. If you search my cell number, this is what you get:

Fortunately, even AI mode comes up empty. LOL. No wonder so many guys don't get back to me.
