Dr. Carlton Suggests using that reflex to your advantage by eating a little something shortly before you begin the clean-out process to trigger your body to be ready to evacuate when you want it to. He also says that some people like to take an Imodium pill during clean-out to stop the movement from the upper GI tract down as you clean out the lower GI tract. marylander1940 1

But doing it alot in a short space of time can be bad news for your gut. I've read that you shouldn't touched more than once a week. Especially if yiu are doing a "deep clean".

Can you tell us anything about your experience with the Future Method, @Thique? I just tried it last weekend for the first time, when a buddy was over, and had a weird experience. Followed directions and used the amount of solution suggested. Waited and waited, and nothing happened--no "expunging." After 20-30 minutes, started feeling feverish. My pal and I agreed that we shouldn't proceed ... instead, I waited it out. The fever passed and I was fine the next day, but it certainly didn't clean me out or make me ready to bottom! pubic_assistance 1

Am I misunderstanding? Are you saying you tried and were unable to expel after taking in the solution? If so that sounds highly unusual. I've never been unable to push liquid out after inserting. It's not like an enema where you wait for the urge. Just push it out right away. I use future method without any issues. Edited May 3 by moonlight + DrownedBoy 1
d.anders Posted May 4 Posted May 4 After reading this thread, I feel like I want to trans to straight. I'm picturing Fred Mertz, balancing his left leg on a Pogo Stick, while bopping up and down on a trampoline, with his right leg pointed to the sky. Oh yeah, and he's got a yard hose stuck up his ass. I would need a new insurance policy to try some of the things mentioned here. thomas and liubit 2
Thique Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Future Method works well for me. Did not experience any of the symptoms you mentioned.
BrooklynIrish Posted May 11 Posted May 11 For folks who want to douche properly and safely, check out The Bottom’s Digest on YouTube. I wouldn’t use Future Method because all you need is clean water. Unless you’re into fisting “deep cleaning” (e.g., going above the colon into the small intestine) is unnecessary. Diet, including fiber, and to the extent to can - getting yourself on a regular schedule - can do 90% of the work. https://youtube.com/@bottomsdigest?si=SKn4UUuw5pqGNGgZ thomas 1
Thique Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Water works fine in general. But if you are on a sexcation and douching with water a few times a day for several consecutive days, it messes up the bacteria in your gut (or something like that…) and can make you really sick. That was my experience anyway. Products like Future Method are supposed to have the right balance of things so as not to mess up the bacteria in your body.

I found (ahem) that even with enemas, you don't want to wait too long for an urge. Just time yourself. Otherwise it does too much work. I left an enema in too long once waiting for an "urge", and the next day I....was in the bathroom a lot in a messy way. + ApexNomad 1
