Her 2 seasons are among my TV favorites. 

In 1989 I went to London with a friend who was slightly annoyed with how obsessed I was with the show at the time.  We went to the Hard Rock Cafe one night and right as we stepped out the door to leave, they started playing the theme LOUDLY...  so loudly you could hear it over my laughter and her cursing as we walked up the block to our car.

I don't know how to post the YouTube of it, but the theme from the 1980s comedy, "Amen" has always been a favourite of mine.

One co-star, Jester Hairston (1901-2000), was also a composer and composed an popular African-American spiritual titled 'Amen'.

I'm not sure if these will post correctly, but a couple of others I always liked were the themes from a Canadian show "The Littlest Hobo", and also the one from "The Incredible Hulk"

My friend's brother used to be a bigwig at NBC and every year she'd get to go to the big shindig to launch the new season.  One year she brought me back an autographed pic of Anna Maria Horsford that said 'thank you for the (something) support.'  I never watched the show once.

There used to be opening and closing full, separate theme songs, e.g. All in the Family.

CBS did a piece on Henry Mancini this morning, in particular his theme for Peter Gunn.
