I answered a craiglist ad I think either in gigs or adult gigs back in the day looking for an office assistant and when I went to the interview site at some house in the valley, it was basically a brothel and the job was to massage men with extras. It had co-ed providers with girls and guys.

I stayed for 2 weeks and then left when someone offered to let me massage at his place to keep more money for myself. 

Then a few years later I ended up going to massage school and never actually thought if I wanted to massage all day for a while, so when I graduated I just worked for myself because I didn't want to work a "real 9 to 5" job, and I still don't.

 

I briefly worked at a spa ran by graduates of my massage school and it was a disaster. Everyone I knew went back to school a year later for something different, because massaging +6 people a day is exhausting no matter what the pay is.

I started by doing porn films. I applied to be in a massage movie (as the receiver on the table). Found I enjoyed being on camera so I did more films, but this time as the masseur. The guy running the porn site said I should do massage as a job, as I had the attributes, which persuaded me it could work. I think otherwise I wouldn’t have thought it possible. 

So I did some training and with advice from others in the industry I set up on my own as a masseur. I still film porn and combine it with seeing massage clients. 

I couldn’t go back to working a regular 5 day a week 9 to 5 job.

I was dancing at a now defunct gay strip club and got requests from customers to meet them outside of the club.  I found I liked it and the extra money so I continued.

I was in in a contest to be a model on a non-profit/HIV fundraising calendar some 20 years ago.    I didn't get on the calendar that year, (I was first runner up) but after the contest, a guy came over to me and gave me his business card, saying that he liked my look and appearance onstage, and asked me if I might be interested in filming gay porn.   

Around the same time, I also attended a weekend workshop with BodyElectric and loved learning about giving men a sacred erotic experience.   While filming porn is  a good entry into escorting, I liked the idea of offering a combined  therapeutic massage and sensual/erotic experience.     I enrolled in a full-time massage school program to learn the technical  skills of massage,  and  continued to take other male erotic workshops and training wherever I could.

I love what I do and the connection that I make with my clients.  Interestingly, I competed again, and got a spot on this year's calendar, coming back full circle.
