Beyond Sevens are amazing! Totally a favorite of mine. Unfortunately they can get pricey. Luckily, my school health center has them as they default product in the "condom bowl" in their lobbies, some sponsorship I guess. Once in a while I'll make my rounds and grab a bunch from each help desk as a supply :)

Thanks for the information regarding the beyond seven, I will actually pick a few up to keep in my supplies should my top fail run out. Also generally what is the prefered lube these days?

Scott do not mean to nitpick your response, but seriously the condom and the lube are two of your more important tools of the trade. I would hope you would invest in ones that easiest for you to work with and offer the client the most comfort and protection. The fact that you have been able to supplement your costs by picking up free ones on the campus, should allow you spread the cost out. As you advertise yourself good quality escorts are not cheap sometimes neither are quality parts.

I always have a wide variety with me. I'm personally a big fan of durex myself, but also carry magnums, along with an array of more interesting condoms for the clients who want to try something different (durex tingling mint being my latest discovery). I've been wanting to try those sized-to-fit condoms as well. Will probably be ordering them soon.

As far as lube I'm a hardcore Wet Platinum fan, but will use eros as well. All other lubes suck in comparison to those two.

Lube is definitely a matter of preference. If possible, I always use Eros; usually the light glide so it's not TOO sticky. Whatever you use, obviously condom safe is key. Other favorites of mine are Wet Platinum and for my own "personal" experiences Gun Oil.

Hmmm. Not really sure what tone you meant this in because it looks like a backhanded slap trying to twist words that I went for something "cheap" for me discounting their importance in my hobby. I even specifically said above that Beyond Sevens happen to be a pricier BRAND of condom. They're priced that way because of their sheerlon technology which allows them to be extremely safe and ULTRA thin. You can barely tell they're on and have a far less likely to break history than Trojans or Lifestyles.

Just because I get the Beyond Sevens for free is no reason to assume they're lower quality since I SPECIFICALLY indicated that they're pricey to begin with. As to spreading the cost out? Oy, I'm not even getting into that.

Are you suggesting that because I get my condoms for free I should lower my rates? I'm not even going to BEGIN to express how wrong THAT is. :7

From my "research" I'd save your money. I'd liken it to using a custom bandaid.

They're both important tools in "long term" healthcare. Sure it's great to have a band-aid that was designed for your wound; but you're going to pay a premium for something that can easily be fixed by something half the price and you realy wont notice a difference with.

The design of the custom condoms is supposed to increase pleasure yada yada. Any ultra thin condom is going to serve the same role at half the price and be readily available instead of mail ordering them.

The ONLY real reason I'd see them doing that is if your girth is minimal and you get NO sensation with a condom on.

Haha. No problem there. Girth is far from minimal. ;-)

RE: Custom-fit condom

After hiring an escort a year and a half ago that did not bring his own supplies, I make sure I bring back up. I have three questions, given I have not used these condoms for over a year what is the expiration date I should consider for these items?

And second should I carry a variety of sizes, what makes sense?

Finally I carry lube, condoms, and some antiseptic mouthwash with me for all hires. Is there anything else I should carry with me?

Thanks

RE: Custom-fit condom

Like most consumer products, condoms have a "use by" date stamped right on the package.

To be completely prepared, you definitely should have both large and "normal" sizes on hand. The large guys can SOMETIMES make use of the smaller condoms but the reverse is rarely true. A Magnum on a dick that doesn't fill it will slip right off.

Hey Auggie, over a year ? ... you've got to be kidding. Those items never last too long here.

> what is the expiration date I should consider for these items?

Look at the condom itself. There is an expiration date on each of them as well on the package as deej mentioned.

Have you considered hand-cuffs and a blindfold ? }(

I hear 'some' people enjoy that.

Condoms

>Now I use the Beyond Seven condoms.

>They are accomodating for my length

>and girth but micro thin and really tough!

There have been several threads on preferred condoms and preferred lubes, in this forum and other forums, over the past few years. Besides the condoms mentioned, Trojan (which also makes Magnum) is another one mentioned. They make an Ultra Thin which can often be found in some chain drug stores, which is comparable to the Beyond Seven.

I personally have never been fond of Durex, but my experience is with the ones given away. I personally think they tend to tear more, but that may be due to my own girth or perhaps that I was practicing with condoms given away - due to heat or moisture, even though individually wrapped, they may have been less durable than normal. I have a friend who uses the XXL model that Durex makes, but mainly does so because he does not want to pay Magnum prices. The XXL is not as wide or long as the Magnum XL, however. Durex also makes an ultra thin or extra sensitive but it just feels like they took only a minimal amount of the latex out, not that they reengineered or redesigned something with more sheer sensation.

I like the Lifestyle Large - in the green package, although they also sell boxes of XL condoms which may be the same thing. Lifestyles makes an ultra thin and an ultra sensitive, but when you look at the specifications, these only are some 20 percent thinner - no substantially different than any of the other ultra thins.

Mayer Labs, in Oakland, makes Kimono and Max. I love both these brands and before I discovered Beyond 7, these are the ones I swore by and others, who have found these condoms, have liked them. The Maxx are comparable to a Trojan Large and some of the other "larger" condoms, for guys who are in the 7 to 8.5 inch range, as opposed to the party size 9 and 9+ range. They also already come with a thickness that is 20% less than standard condoms, so there is more sensation, and more importantly, for guys with large heads, they come with a larger end point. I also like the Kimino micro thins, but short of ordering them on line, these are hard to find. You can order their products directly from the company, which also says they are available for sale at Rite Aide and CVS. Again, I have not seen the micro thin readily available at all stores.

Beyond Seven is the condom I most commonly used. The main reason I use them and recommend them for anyone who is uncircumcized, is that they fit very snugly, and when you are vigorously fucking someone, they stay one while also moving with your foreskin, lessening any of a number of potential problems, such as condoms sliding off, tearing, getting lost in the bottom, etc. Beyond Seven has a very sheer later that truly does feel, as advertised, like wearing nothing at all. I also especially like (and men I am with appreciate) the Beyond Seven studded model.

As Steven mentioned, Condomania sells condoms, besides custom fitting you, and offeres reasonable or free shipping depending on the size of an order. Condomdepot.com and Undercovercondoms.com also have reasonable or free shipping offers. All of these sites offer all the condoms mentioned here and others you have never heard of.

As for Lube, Picturebrite, which will also support this site, is still the best place to get lubricant. I still like ID Millenium. There are escorts who swear by Eros, I am among the few who think it is vasty overpriced and, like Steven, I also think it tends to stains sheets, towels and clothes easily. Wet Premium is a comparable but lower priced equivilent to Eros, and I do have it at home, but I only use it when a client specifically requests something like it. Another popular brand now is Gun Oil, but again has a "oily" consistency. The lower price lubes were generally "dissed" including Probe and regular ID, and KY.

Douh!

By the way, I forgot to mention:

for all you people who have asked about and wondered about the female condom, the one nice thing from ordering from Condomania, Condom Depot or any other on line site, is that you can order the Reality (female) condom to try and practice with in the comfort of your home, without having to worry about what the clerks at your local or chain drug store might think, or having to ask for it where they keep the rubbers under lock and key or behind a counter.

RE: Clerk Embarrased!

Worried about what the clerks might think? They can handle it! The other day, Walgreen's didn't have any Men's Cream. Sure, I know I can buy it at the gay store, but the gay store wants SEVEN DOLLARS more than Walgreen's (hey, but they have a rainbow flag!) for what's basically a little jar of Crisco.

Anyway, the clerk offered to lend me his jar of Men's Cream until the new supply came in. That's when I told him that they were also out of Preparation H...

Hmm...will have to check those out. Are they available in porn stores and stuff, or online only?

I use Magnum XL. If I put some lube on my dick before I put it on and kinda pull it over my dick like you would a sock, it's pretty comfortable.

Gun Oil lube...love it and very reasonable for those price concious boys...hee hee. Wet Platinum as well. I really hate the Wet Platinum bottles, though. They encourage clients to spray it all over the place (then I have to beat them...and most of them are happier for it). Also, they have leaked twice in my bag...almost worse than a bottle of poppers leaking...lol.

For handballing and other non-dick involved ass play, Slam Dunk rocks (but is NOT rubber safe, so save that for the fingers and fists).

RE: Reality condom

Steven, dear, you were shopping in the wrong stores down there.

You should have tried Victoria's Secret. ;-) (Or at the very least one of the sleazy adult shops.)

  • 3 weeks later...

Re: Magnums and Extra large condums. The L.A. Times did a feature story on a condom factory and they wrote about how they test them by stretch tests. The guide lauged and said "some clowns write in and say that these aren't big enough!"

Personally, the Durex studded work best for me and of course used in conjunction with Gun Oil.
