If I'm flying a well known escort from Hoo's site to me I know I pay the airfare plus his fee for the trip, I got no problem with that. My question, is it wrong to ask his real name if using my flyer miles to fly him to me since I have plenty to use, or does that sound cheap on my part using the miles? Now if you knew the client from the message board and talked with him on the phone a couple of times and chatted in E mails would you give him your real name :7

When in doubt I whip it out :+

I'm not a traveling escort but I KNOW you can't book a flight for someone without using their real name. I know this is true with frequent flier miles and I suspect the same is true when paying for the flight.

Even with real names you can run into problems. For example, my sister was traveling on an e-ticket with "Jan" as her first name. Her ID was under the name of Janet and that was enough to cause problems getting through security. It eventually got resolved but she ended up having to take a later flight.

I certainly don't think it is "cheap" to use frequent flier miles for a visiting escort. I also don't mind booking the ticket and sending the escort the e-ticket confirmation.

But I won't send an escort cash for a ticket and "trust" them to show up. The only exception would be for an escort with whom I had an established, multiple-hire experience with very positive results.

Hey! I think you have to ask there real name for a ticket. I dont think it is wrong or odd plus it shows that there is a trust in the client escort relationship, the escort has to work with you and visa versa.

Using your miles is not cheep I think it is being smart and saving money were you can as spending money on air fair is a bitch at times.

I would never send cash even if I knew the escort, just don't feel right doing that. I have paid the escort after he arrived and after he showed me the ticket with the total fee on it, not that I did not trust him (LoL) ;) or paid for the ticket in my area then E mailed or phone him with the information so he could pick up the ticket in his area or E ticket. In the past I learned it was better to fly him to me than going to a strange city :9

OneFinger is correct... No real name, No ticket, No exceptions~

The airline industry is quite strict on the EXACT name matching the government ID provided by the traveler in question. Personally, i've never had an issue with giving out my full name, as trust is a two-way street and it's got to begin somewhere. I find it incredibly silly that some escorts out there go to such massive lengths to protect their identity, even going as far as using fake ID's & putting their 'stage' names on credit cards.

It's too much effort for far too little piece of mind.

As for ff miles on a ticket: Righto... Vincent made a good point of it saving money and he's spot-on. As much as love racking up more mileage with Continental Airlines, i'm all for an award ticket being used to get me from point A to point B. Hell, as long as i get there in one piece, i'm happy as a clam.

... although, that one flight from LAX to Fiji in baggage was a bit cramped. I did, however, find some incredible 'souvenirs' from the luggage around me... ;)

Warmest Always,

Once More With Feeling

Once again, this issue and similar viens thereof, have been brought up and discussed before.

>My question, is it wrong to ask his real

>name if using my flyer miles to fly him to me since I have

>plenty to use, or does that sound cheap on my part using the

>miles?

The consensus: no, of course it is "not wrong." Nothing is wrong. Some escorts will accept this, some will not.

Now if you knew the client from the message board and

>talked with him on the phone a couple of times and chatted in

>E mails would you give him your real name :7

The consensus: again, some would, some would not.

The bottom line: Like the coupon question at the dinner table, there is no such thing as "wrong" behavior by a client in a hire situation. There are behaviors which anyone would agree is inappropriate in any situation between any two human beings and yet, some people engage in this behavior nonetheless.

Avoid this, treat an escort the way you would like to be treated, and you likely will enjoy yourself and so will he. Some escorts might act inappropriately if you ask for their "real" name or if you brought out a coupon. Other escorts, thankfully, were raised with better manners.

Original saying hundreds of years ago was "Happy as a clam at high tide." Clam digging must be done in low tide...so at high water they're nice and secure, all in their little clam homes with their little clam families. Indeed, Benjamin, you are happy as a clam.

Anyway, yeah, I think it's silly to fly cross country and spend a significant amount of time with someone who does not know your real name. I've heard horror stories of stalking and such, but they are truly the exceptions, and most likely they were just message board rumors anyway. If you book a flight on miles that's cool with me/

On the flipside, what if you booked me a flight on one of my airlines and after you made the reservation I attached my FF number to the ticket? Is that tacky? Just a thought.

Frequent Flyer Miles

What I believe Mr. Thompson was referring to was either joining the club of the carrier or attaching his current membership number to a ticket purchased (not obtained with miles) by a client. This reminds me of corporations which required their employees to hand over their miles in the 1990s, as one I worked for in San Francisco in the mid 1990s required of all of us when we traveled on the company's dime. Having not worked in such an environment in some time, I have no idea if any companies still do this or if it is even still possible with the current security regulations with carriers.

As an employee of a Major Airline, yes, you will need his name as it appears on his Drivers or Passport. If you travel out the country then his name MUST be the same as the passport. Remember if you use miles you must do it over the phone using your pin number, if you go to the Airport, there will be a charge....I think the price is about $80.00, that includes airport taxes...If you have alot of miles, there is nothing wrong with using them for someone else, and if you have more then enough miles, you can also book him in Business class.

If the flight is delayed or cancelled he will be protected on another flight or airline.......Hope this helps...

Derek and I have been in this situation many times, and it's pretty embarrassing to have to tell a client our real names (Cynthia Harkins and Deborah Rabinowitz) but it's just something you do and hope the client will get over.

And now, I really hope Cindy doesn't find out I just "outed" ourselves or he'll beat the crap out of me. :p

Not that I've ever been (nor anticipate being) in the situation, but if an escort is offended by the use of FF mileage to obtain his ticket, well, tough beans. It's really no business of his how you get his ticket. He's getting a free trip, enough said. And given the amount of out-of-town escorts I see advertising locally who'll be "passing through" SF for 2-4 days, I can only imagine that many escorts, while travelling at one client's expense, opt to try to squeeze in a few other appointments while in town... especially a certain well-known princess from DC. (Oh dear! Did I write that, or just think it?).

Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids! Sorry, I have always wanted to say that. :p

Anyway, I was just curious who the Princess in DC is that you are referring to? I don't really know of any DC escorts who travel a lot.

Oh well, maybe I will get to do a little more traveling at some point. Anybody want to go someplace fun?!?!? :D }(

Aaron, you silly escort, I wasn't refering to you!! Think hard... who in DC is just a bit too big for his britches (and I don't mean in the biblical sense, although that is a reason why he's so popular.)

I must also admit an amount of personal prejudice... I've never had contact with the man, but there's just something about his persona, and a few reviews I've read of him, that rubs me the wrong way.

I don't get this whole discretion thing. Yuo are going to have SEX with the guy. Why should he not know your name and you his? I am very open with my escorts (and appreciate it when an escort is open with me )- maybe trusting them too much- but it seems that I have them in my home - what the fuck. I have NEVER had the feeling that one of my escorts would out me, either for being gay or for hiring escorts.

Hey Trix, I knew you weren't referring to little 'ol me. I'm not a well known escort in DC! And, like I said, I haven't traveled very much at all. I used to have a regular day job which tied me down, but that is a changin'.....

But, I was curious to whom you were referring, even though I thought I knew. Your latest post confirms it. However, even though he sometimes says he is based in DC, he really "lives" in VA, and I don't even think he is there for much of the year. He really knows how to travel! Maybe I should go on a trip with him sometime! :p

I have been with the said "princess" during one of his travels to my neck of the woods, so am speaking from experience here. Anyone who sends a standard, pretyped (I know, I recently got it again, word for word, when he swung by again) email of what he will/will not do and a fee structure calculated to the nearest 15 minutes plus travel demands would fit the description of "princess". And having travelled in the US and abroad with another well-reviewed escort from this site (thanks HB) who has NO such attitude have certainly taught me the difference}(
