Colors in Men's Kink Clothing?

When I browse vendors for men's kink-wear like:

• Nasty Pig,
• Sir Rat
• Mr. S Leather, or
• Fort Troff,

I see a lot of clothing and gear in black with primary color red, yellow, and blue trim.  Are those colors a code like the old hanky codes?  

Accidentally sending the wrong coded message is both a funny and kind of scary idea.

Not sure about the codes, but colors are definitely in. I bought a bull harness and jock strap/codpiece in pink for a favorite.

More specifically, I'm interested in the Cellblock 13 spandex hood with mesh eyes.

Would blue mesh send a message, or just look good?

Okay.  I'd want to pick blue for those times when that's what I'd want. Thank you.  I was worried that I would signal that I wanted a bound fisting gang-bang or some other deep-end-of-the-pool thing.  How about red or yellow?

Yellow is indeed for watersports, golden showers, pis. Only if you wore pink you had to be worried to be in a gang bang. If you want to be fisted, wear red.

That link shows that not much has changed in years with hankie flagging. Still the same coded messages. When I was going to leather bars in the 90's and '00's I wore them in my back pocket of my jeans. Still have them but since I don't go to these types of bars anymore I use them for other purposes.

There's a lot more colors than described in that article. The article doesn't mention green for paydates.

Yes they are! Those are usually the ones that get made so when someone makes a kelly green (Escort) or forest green (Daddy) hanky merch i get excited
