Why is it the same RentMen of the day guys week after week, but each time I check, can’t seem to find availability.

Does anyone else notice this? Not to name drop anyone but, I see the same 2 guys who are RentMen of the day what seems at least twice a week. When I have considered doing it, it’s usually sold out as late as it can go. It almost seems like one would need to have some sort of regular arrangement to be RM of the day that often.

On top of that, is there really a whole lot of merit to it? Even if you are advertised in half the country, considering majority of bookings lately are booked no more than a day or 2 ahead, I’d be curious as to whether the repeat exposure would equate to a surplus of additional bookings.

RM plays favorites.

It's the same with their 'Rentmen Exclusive' guys.  No rhyme or reason to the listing and they don't put qualifications anywhere on the site.

You're better off paying for multiple days of platinum in major cities you plan on visiting. That will get you traffic and inquiries.

Yeah because once again I notice the other day and today it’s similiar RM of day who’s been on there every week. Not being a hater but, but it’s like…come on. I remember RentBoy was completely random. When it’s always just the same guys, it just makes me 🤔

Aren't Rentmasseur and Rentmen owned by the same people?  If so, then I assume Rentmen's "man of the day" is as bogus as Rentmasseur's, which frequently has been featuring the same guy who used to live in my area who now lives in Palm Springs who is among a small group of guys I've hired that I would use the term "con man" to describe.

I've always assumed the RMotD was a pay-for promotion, though I've never asked any guys on RM how one did it or what it might cost.  I've wondered if you could buy a particular day or if just paid and got put in a queue and popped up when it was your turn   I have noticed a few guys that repeat so frequently, usually from the big markets, that I have to guess they continuously re-up the order for whatever benefit it gets them in visibility.

Have any of you guys sent a message to the web master and inquired? Wondering what they said.

Everyone here is wondering how it all works. I run a business that has a similar thing (not anywhere near this industry), and if someone messaged someone on my team and offered to pay $X to get whatever product promoted, the answer would be YES. YES. YES.

Since there are no published guidelines or offer on the site, there are only two actual scenarios at work here:

1. Whoever it is that operates RM takes hard money to be promoted. You want to be promoted, message the webmaster and offer $X for Y days. They'll either say yes or no, or they'll come back with a counter offer.

2. Whoever it is that operates RM reaches out to a handful of profiles that somehow come to the top of their attention -- for whatever reason -- and solicits a payout for the promotions. "Hey, you want to pay us $X to be RM of the day?"

I'm going to guess it's not #2, only because a provider would have mentioned that happening to them over the past half-decade.

So, yea, #1.

... and just based on what I know about the site, my own personal experience, and reading on here for a while, it would be around $2k to be featured for ~24 hours.

There would also be conditions on who gets promoted. You'd have to have a real full profile, be established for over a year, with at least two dozen 5.0 reviews to even consider it, otherwise you'll never get a reply from the inquiry.

I could be completely out of the park on that estimate, but if I ran the site, that's what I would be charging based on current traffic in general.

For those curious, I just looked it up, it's $12.00 CAD/day to be rentman of the day for Canada. For the US it would be four times that amount. It's all automated through the provider portal, you just click the days you want and fork over the cash. Here in Canada, availability is mostly booked out for November, but December is fairly open.

That's what I would have thought. $2k is way out of the ballpark.

What about sponsorship by providers? I 've noticed when I do an overnight with an escort, they often quickly follow up with a sponsorship. At least I know where some of my money I paid them is going. Lol

And some of these providers don't have a long track record or high number of reviews. So would sponsorship be an alternative to RM of the Day?

I could see #1 being it. Though, even though I can see it being a great occasional feature, I can’t see the merit in having it multiple times a week/month unless you’re really able to be everywhere at once or in an area that really attracts a lot of traffic.

I have not but could see doing it in the near future.

Seems to run about $48 per 24 hours per region of the USA.

  • 2 weeks later...

RM of the day is not worth the trouble, I have done it 3 times and invariably all that happens is you receive texts from people who say “if you’re ever in *insert city name* i’d love to get with you” or “Hey are you in *insert any city but the one you’re current in*?” Platinum boost is probably your better bet,

imho
