Dietary Restrictions

I used to take Rogain in my coffee, but once I stopped drinking the black gold and turned to soy milk, I found that the Rogain was simply much too bitter.

The energy bars tend to be packed with sugar, usually high fructose corn syrup, and are also packed with other carbs, so I stick to low carb, high protein meal replacement bars. You get used to the cardboard taste after the first couple of hundred.

I think my weekend starvation regimen is what keeps me in the best shape but boy do I pig out on Mondays....

My diet really depends on the time of year, and what I am trying to accomplish with my body. I have two cycles - bulking (gaining) and cutting (loosing).

My cutting diet is usually after I have completed a bulking cycle to gain some more muscle. I always have a bit of fat to loose after bulking since one cannot gain muscle without gaining some bodyfat. Can't be done. This is the reason most guys can't gain muscle at the gym - they are afraid of gaining one ounce of fat, so they starve their muscles.

The cutting diet is about 2500 calories, and is a 60/30/20. 60% protein, 30% carbs, and 20% fat (the good kind). My sources of protein is mostly fish and lean red meat, with a few protein shakes thrown in. My carbs are mostly brown rice, sweet potatoes, whole grains, and green leafy vegetables (lots). My sources of fat is flax oil, omega 3's (fish oil), nuts, and some saturated fat. I do not eat sugar.

The bulking diet is about 4000 - 4500 calories, and is a 40/40/20. 40% protein, 40 carbs, and 20 fat. Again the sources are the same as above.

Additionally, I try to get about 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per pound of lean body weight. While I am cutting, I restrict my calories to about 12 calories per pound of bodyweight. When I am bulking, I try to keep my calories at 20 calories per pound of bodyweight.

I eat very clean during the week, but allow myself two cheat meals on the weekend of anything and in any amount I want.

Right now my weight is at 195#, and I am 5'8" tall. My bodyfat is less than ten percent. I did a photo shoot last month, and my bodyfat was at about 8%, and I hated it. I have found that for me, anything less than 10% bodyfat also causes me to loose too much muscle and strength, and I compete, so my strength is very important to me.

My secret to staying on my diet is to write everything down I eat. It's easy now for me, since it has become a habit.

I am fortunate in that I train athletes, and I am talking and working with people's diet's all day long. I live a fitness lifestyle, and that helps too. But, I do have a fond weakness for Merlot.

Mine depends on the day of the week (Boston Market stays open later on weekends, and "Wednesday is Sundae at Carvel") and on which takeout menu I pull from the desk drawer. :9

I have two cycles, too: one is called "If I have one more piece of grilled chicken or salmon and a salad, I'm gonna choke" and the other is called "Hey, who finished the Entenmann's?" :p

LOL. For some reason, this post made me laugh. It's almost like we are discussing the dietary habits of a new species of antelope that was discovered somewhere in the Congo. Well, I have to say, after reading the list of preferred foods, I do feel like I am the ultimate pig. Give me burgers, pizza, chocolate, sundaes any day - and plenty of it. I guess given the rather strenuous physical exercise I get when I am with a client / clients, it's okay to load up on the calories, but really - other than the occasional diet induced by a slump in the cash flow, it's all good.

One word: Portion. The average individual eats way more than the recommended portion size. Thanks to restaurants and the "super-size", Americans are eating bigger portions. And its breakfast, lunch and dinner. Look at a simple omelet - most are 3 egg omelets. 10 years ago, no one had 3 eggs plus a heap of potatoes and 2-3 pieces of toast for breakfast (not to mention all the goodies inside and on top of the omelet). I love cookies and Subway's are the best. They are 50 cents or 3 for a dollar. Damn, I have to get three.

Overall I tend to stay away from the junk food and fried food but beyond that I eat what I want. My main focus is to get as much protein as possible and to watch portion sizes. You need to get over the starving kids in Africa and forget about cleaning your plate. Even if you are at a restaurant and only ate half - doggie bag the rest or simply leave it.

I have trouble getting the protein -

RE: What Do CLIENTS Eat To Stay OUT Of Shape?

Sean Lespagnol asked the above question no one responded. I actually posted the answer to his query the other day in another forum; it elicited no response, so I will try it here. It's from my dietary guru, Dr. Phul, so it MUST be factual. In fact, escorts should consider adopting some of the following theories. (Soon, I may Dr. Phul here as a regular and who knows, maybe he'll get his own website eventually -- but that's another story.)

Tina tarts can just skip this post entirely.

Now, grab a TWIX and prepare for a pop quiz to follow:

Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this

true?

A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it. Don't

waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live

longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?

A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay

and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system.

Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass

(green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your

recommended daily allowance of vegetable slop.

Q: Is beer or wine bad for me?

A: Look, it goes to the earlier point about fruits and vegetables. As we all know, scientists divide everything in the world into three

categories: animal, mineral, and vegetable. We all know that beer and wine are not animal, and they are not on the periodic table of

elements, so that only leaves one thing, right? My advice: Have a

burger and a beer and enjoy your liquid vegetables.

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

A: Well, if you have a body, and you have body fat, your ratio is one

to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular

exercise program?

A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...

Good.

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?

A: You're not listening. Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: What's the secret to healthy eating?

A: Thicker gravy.

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the

middle?

A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger.

Sometimes they wear out. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: Are you crazy? HELLO... Cocoa beans... another vegetable!!! It's

the best feel-good food around!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had

about food and diets.

One more thing... "When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila and

salt."

<chuckle>

Pretty much anything works for me. ;-)

Actually, I do try to eat healthy most of the time. My location works in my favor: the nearest McDonalds is a 10 mile drive! If I want to eat out, there are 2 Sushi restaurants near my house but then there's nothing for miles.

Well, OK, there are pizza joints and a couple of sandwich shops. But I don't really consider those "eating out". Although the pizza joints can be fun for lunch on weekdays because the high school kids hang there. }(

I prefer an Escorts diet to help me with my un-youthful figure.

Eating ass or sucking nipples are a good appetizer followed by Tube Steak and this one certain Escort (no name but his intials are SL) seems to like to feed me his special sauce from his Tube Steak. I think it is high in protein but not sure of the Fat content.;)

LOL. Well, since my diet is anything but healthy AND I am currently living on my mother's homecooking, which doesn't even come close to being healthy, you can rest assured that the fat content has gone way through the roof since the last time I saw you. I guess that means we'll have to chase you around the block a couple of times to get those tubesteak sauce pounds off of you.
