NYC Recommendations & 411

I find myself feeling a bit “meh” - last week’s trip to LA was a pain in the arse work wise, and a bust as far as this hobby goes.  So, I’m thinking a cure for this meh, this ennui, and to perk myself up a bit is engaging someone new. After running a few searches, I must add how grateful I am for this site! A number of the gents that piqued my interest on RM, I found from looking them up on here, that they were best avoided. THANK YOU to the site admins for keeping this place up and running, and to my fellow hobbyists for your intel -good and bad- shared on here. 

Anyway, I turn to the hive mind of CofM for recommendations for providers in (or nearish or travelling to) NYC that:
• are tops, versatile-tops, even versatile guys who actually do top, (and aren’t just spelling “bottom” with nine letters), that enjoy topping, and know what their doing
• have a muscular, jock type build - thickness is a plus, don’t need to be ripped, some beefy muscles are good
• offer BFE, and are interactive/engaged, AND  who kiss/make out
• possibly most important, that he is into or can convincingly act like he’s into a 52 yo bearish dad kind of guy

Pluses would be body hair, enjoys being rimmed, sense of humour, good conversationalist. No hang ups on age, ethnicity, d-size, height. 

In addition to the above, any recent intel on these two providers? Based on above, thoughts on compatibility? Previous threads are from 2021.

While not set in stone or anything, these two represent the archetype I tend to go for - both in this hobby, and IRL. Fingers crossed the hive mind of CofM offers some recommendations, and intel on these two gents 🤞🏻

Can’t remember the gay comedian, but he had a bit about tops, bottoms, and versatile guys, with the punch line being versatile guys are just guys spelling “bottom” with 9 letters. No offense to any truly versatile guys, but I always thought it was a funny line, and I’ve found it sadly true (for me) on quite a few occasions 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have met both (individually). Both are fun and can recommend.

Although BigHungBro is for sure using someone else's photo. He does provide his own photos in text so you might want to ask for that.

Just curious - none of the pics in his RM and are of him? Or are the RM pics possibly out of date? Do the ones he is using bear a resemblance to what one gets if one engages BHB? 🤔

Everything here was pretty accurate - at least one of the pictures is not him. He did ask for a deposit, which I declined, and he was ok meeting without a deposit.

I think his body is a little more muscular than what the picture shows, and the dick picture is accurate - very hung. In general, the pictures do resemble the actual person. You should message him for his pictures if you are curious - everyone has different tastes.

I can confirm that BigHungBro is a very handsome guy.  He sent me his face pic and he is very muscular.

He asked me for a deposit and I was concerned about it and we had a conversation about what happens if either of us can't make it and he said the deposit would be returned.  He explained that he knew RM would kick him off the platform if he was actually scamming clients for money.  Plus he mentioned this site as well and said it would not be worth the hassle.  

Sometimes you have to trust your gut instinct and his comments made sense.  

Reality: he had to cancel at last minute and he immediately refunded my money.

It is the reason why I am meeting with him along with Blessed Boy, as it was BB who was the escort that stepped in at the last minute.  They have not met yet, but through messaging and texting, they are very comfortable with each other.  The good thing about the deposit is now I don't have carry a lot of cash anymore.

Each of these guys is in my rentmen Buddy List, so you and I have similar tastes. I've only met one of them, though -- skinnyhungmj, and I've been with him twice over the past week.  He's an absolutely great lay.  But, he doesn't really fit what the OP is looking for in terms of a physical type.  MJ isn't beefy or muscular, but is instead very lean, as his stage name indicates.  And he's relatively smooth above the thigh. But I think he'd fit most of the other attributes that the OP is looking for.

So, I will report back on my meeting with Bighungbro which is tonight.

I will talk to him and recommend he remove the headless pics and only show his dick pics.  As for the deposit, he only asks for half and I can confirm from personal experience of last week, that he refunded my deposit immediately after our appt was canceled.

And as to who should or not be promoted, I will state that escorts that have pics confirmed and do not ask for deposits can still end up being lousy and do a horrible job.

If you read any other threads around here, almost universally guys around here say NO to paying deposits.

Currently, four of his six pictures emphasize his dick. If his pictures are accurate, I wouldn't even advise him on what pictures to use. He's a big boy now 😊 and can manage his own profile.

I wouldn’t say that’s universally true. There have been/are many threads on CofM, and it’s previous incarnation on both providers who ask for/require a deposit, and providers who use “similar” pics in their public galleries. While you would be correct saying the new/non-vetted ones are called out, when speaking about an established provider, it’s much more grey. Some hobbyists will call them out, but other hobbyists will defend these providers’ practices.

The same is true for providers using their own pics, not requiring deposits, and showing up unable to perform. Many hobbyists will defend them, offering the “YMMV” or bad or off day to explain the provider’s situation, their inability to perform. Many going into raptures extolling the provider’s abilities. But when more, and more hobbyists have the same bad experience, one has to wonder about those rapturous reviews on these established, vetted providers. 

At the end of the day, in this hobby, each of us need to determine what level of “risk” we’re comfortable accepting. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I don’t know if that’s necessary - even the gent here who pointed out some pics aren’t him still recommended him. Maybe a face/full body with face pic in the private gallery 🤷🏼‍♂️

As far as deposits go, I know that’s a trigger for some, (among other triggers, many of which I think are silly, and at the end of the day inconsequential), but if this is his business model, and it’s working for him, he may not need or want to drop it. At most I’d say indicating “deposit” required for new clients may be a better way to go 🤷🏼‍♂️

Can we let the deposit thing pass? BigHungBro asked a deposit from me. I declined, and he still agreed to meet without a deposit. I think he might be using this method to prioritize clients with deposits.

As for pictures, I was trying to let steve know that BigHungBro may look different from his RM pictures, and he can ask for more in text. In fact, I probably would not realize he was using someone else's picture, if lonely_john did not provide a twitter link in the other thread.

I'm not opposed to making a deposit when I see someone for the first time. I'm generally willing to do 25% of the overall fee. More than that seems excessive.
