Some of the day jobs of the escorts I've met have been accountant, engineer, personal trainer, and high school teacher. I think in general the day job is unaware of the escorting activities, although the accountant told me that one of his accounting clients found his web site and suggested they expand the client relationship to both jobs. He politely declined, although I think he was less up tight if the client relationship started on the escort side. The guys whom I've seen on a regular basis know what I do, although they probably don't remember the name of the company I work for, etc.

Only my regular clients and overnights know what I do for a full time job. Others on this system have figured it out, and I thank them for not making it a conversation piece. (Only once did it occur in a thread where someone else chose to make mention of my other career. Though I never addressed it, I was not amused)

I definately do *not* disclose my other job. It's a professional position and one where there is "morals" clause. I'd be fired immediately if they learned I was an escort. Although my job has nothing to do with religion, I feel like my current situation could be compared to a priest who moonlights as an escort. Those are just two professions that don't compliment each other.

 

I don't ask my clients about their personal lives. Some have disclosed their occupation but it's not something I care to know or need to know (unless they are a cop :+ ).

After several years as a full-time escort, I went into business with my personal trainer and opened a fitness studio/tanning salon. So, my availability for escorting is limited mostly to the evenings and weekends.

 

I know escorts who are landlords, state govt. employees, landscapers and personal trainers. I also know a retired escort who is now a Catholic priest.

Half and half

 

I have some clients who hired me as an escort for whom I now simply cook (or I do both), which involves menu planning, dietary restrictions and other considerations, grocery buying (thus explaining all those bike rides to the farmer's market) and meal preparation. I greatly enjoy this and would envision some kind of future involved with food preparation.

 

I also was and could easily continue to be in a professional career position, which I was doing prior to renewing my Professional Male Companion credentials nearly a year ago. I continued to do some of this work this Spring, on a consultant basis but found escorting, especially as internet escorting and so many other aspects (digital pagers, web sites, reviews) were totally foreign to me in my prior experience escorting in the mid-1990s, more fascinating and interesting. I doubt I would fall back on that professional career path again, especially with my face and identity as an escort for anyone to now find with ease.

 

The Twinks and other escort friends of mine are part time students, full time students, artist, production assistants, radio broadcasters, pornographers, other entertainment industry crew positions, writers and most curiously, at least to me, a part time clown for Barnum and Bailey.

graduate students: one in acting, one in psychology, one in computer software design, another in music

 

a landscaper who owns his own garden shop

a lighting designer

One of the things that has always struck me is the high percentage of entrepreneur/small business owners. One guy owns an art gallery, another owns his own limo company (he's a good ride. ba dum bum). Several are independent accountants, insurance salesmen, etc.

 

One guy I know is a graduate student finishing his phD in Clinical Psychology. (Need a shrink?)

 

But like everything else, your mileage may vary. I suspect there's an escort in nearly every walk of life you can imagine.

I have to admit that the cop from Connecticut who worked as an escort had the most day job. :7 He actually had several good reviews. Veteran cop runs escort sideline

BRIDGEPORT

 

A veteran city police detective, who previously worked in the department's vice unit, has a sideline that could have come from one of his old cases.

 

Lawrence Ciambriello, 41, is known as "Lorenzo, the "Hot N Hung Italian on a Web site advertising male escorts.

 

On the site executivemaleescorts.com a nearly nude photograph of the 15-year department veteran appears along with the statement: "I can be gentle to dominant, you can decide. I am available for travel.

 

The site describes Ciambriello as a bodybuilder who is generously endowed. Additional photographs are available for a fee. For escort rates, Ciambriello's cell phone number is given.

 

Repeated calls to this number were not returned. He couldn't be reached at his Bridgeport home.

 

Police Chief Wilber Chapman said he is aware of the Web site and that the department has a policy against this type of behavior.

 

"There is an extensive, in-depth investigation on a number of his activities by this department and federal authorities. This investigation will determine whether disciplinary action is appropriate, Chapman said.

 

Federal authorities confirmed that Ciambriello is part of an investigation, but wouldn't comment on it.

 

Ciambriello was suspended without pay in February after being detained at LaGuardia Airport by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents, as he was about to board a plane for Chicago.

 

He was held for four hours as his luggage was searched, but later released without charges, according to his account at the time.

 

Chapman said at the time that Ciambriello was arrested for having in his luggage what was believed to be GHB, a chemical used in bodybuilding, but he was released without charges because federal authorities declined to prosecute.

 

The chemical seized from the detective is being analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation, the chief said.

From time to time in the posts there's reference to escorts' other jobs, besides escorting. I'm wondering what kinds of other jobs escorts have, and whether in the other job there is knowledge or discussion of the escorting. For that matter, do you tell your escort clients about your "day" job?
