I just got off the phone making arrangements with a new-to-me escort. He made a request that I didn't even think about at the time, but now is causing me to wonder. He asked that the hotel room have porn to watch; he said it would make the experience even better. Is this a usual request? Ive never been asked this before, and always thought that I was able to provide all the excitement needed. Am I looking too much into this?

Your experience my vary. But my experience has been that escorts who ask to watch porn usually end up being pretty unsatisfactory.

 

Not only that, I find watching straight porn to be an experience I generally don't enjoy. (It's unlikely your hotel will have any gay porn available.)

 

If you ask me, it's a bad sign.

I've never understood anyone who wants to watch porn during sex. When I'm with a guy (client or otherwise), all my attention is on him. The TV is a major distraction, and I don't get off on just watching other people have a good time. I want to have my own good time! I’d think twice about it. I had a great time once with an escort I had seen several times. He caught me online shortly before he was due and sent an IM that said, “I’ll be there at 8:00. I'll echo a similar experience (though I didn't amass so many videos): An escort I've been hiring every few months for two years (not reviewed on this site because he doesn't want to be; he is a student who only escorts when he has time) likes porn playing. I do presume that he wants porn playing because it adds to *his* excitement, and I don't mind because he definitely isn't focused on the porn. I must say that he has never made this a requirement -- it was just a simple request he brought up the second time we met. By then I had already come to know that he was a lot of fun in bed. I think I would react differently to someone requesting porn upfront, before we even met.

There are only two good reasons for an escort to ask you to have porn available: 1. he doesn't expect to be turned on by you, and needs something else to perform, or 2. he doesn't want to try to get you turned on by himself, and hopes that the porn will satisfy you. Either one would serve as a red flag to me.

I can think of at least one other good reason. In certain cases, with clients I had a good history with, I have brought along what I guess you could call a "specialty" type of porn because I literally wanted to show them something (with an eye toward our trying some variation on what they were watching). That's obviously different from the scenario that prompted the thread. Watching porn together can actually be a fun way to bond with someone you're comfortable with, and there is a legitimate erotic charge to be gotten out of seeing your partner turned on by someone else, but the context matters a lot. This guy sounds like he wants to phone it in.

I'm voting with the majority on this one.....porn during a session sounds like a low level of energy/enthusiasm on the part of the escort.
