Word limit

Some posts here no longer border on the verge of tome; they rival the word count of multi-volume encyclopedia. Is there a way to have a word limit or character limit on posts? I, for my part, read and post from my iPhone, so rereading Homer is tiresome. And it also would force some to think about what’s absolutely necessary to make their point – especially in the politics forum.

I found the solution a long time ago. I skip them.

A post of little interest may have few words while a long post, if well considered may cause one to ponder and evaluate.  If a post does not hold your interest or in some other way is too cumbersome to read, move on.

We are not trying to be Twitter, so there is not a cap on posts or post lengths. 

However if there are specific people that frequently are posting things that are longer than you like, the Ignore feature works great to remove them from your view.

Hey...  it's no problem at all.    

I appreciate all suggestions/feedback.  Instead of just not replying at all, I felt it showed more respect to add a comment about if/why we don't do something.  My goal was to show that even though we can't always do something, we're always listening!
