My finale takeaways

1. George Russell sure heals fast.

2. Oscar’s haircut distracts in every shot that isn’t him in bed.

3. Why can’t we have seen just one brief happy sex scene with Duke and Gladys?

4. Bodices for the ladies who sit need to be fit with them seated.

5. I can’t wait to see Carrie Coon return to playing contemporary characters.

Whereas at the seat of Sidmouth, “fit” is slang that refers to how hot Duke’s little social-climbing sibline-splintering Gladiolus is when sitting, standing, or hectoring splayed. Refer to #3.

I wish MsMojo would have included Homophobia in The Gilded Age.  How Larry suggested to Jack he might find a male companion at The Haymarket, as well as how Oscar was bequeathed John Adam's cottage and how he seems headed for a marriage with a beard all seems significant.

That said, I am glad to find I'm not the only one that finds Jack delightful.

Perhaps Oscar will get a taste.

I predict Jack will marry the scullery maid.

Bridgett?

Jack was the very first character on screen in The Gilded Age.  I wonder if Julian Fellows did that for a certain reason.

He's led a sheltered life, is well liked, and talented.  I fear Bridgett may be slightly high maintenance, for him to deal with.  I hope she does right by him.

Now that he’s no longer a foot man, Jack would naturally be exploring what else he likes and should take his time. Bridget has an unfortunate traumatic past and brushed his hand away on a date, so he may get excited prematurely with her now, in relative terms, thawing out and throwing herself at him, finding himself in a stew. Or in hot water, the type of resource that Bridget previously expressed resentment about in terms of sharing with a newly arrived Peggy on the scene.

HBO should just change its name to "The Gilded Age Channel." For the last two weeks it seems they have shown this show every day of the week, 24/7.

I've noticed that too but honestly have no complaints. I never get tired of watching Marian leap on the dining room table to help wounded George. I keep thinking of decades ago when anytime you turned on the USA channel you had a good chance of catching a "Wings" rerun.

Ben Ahler's has a nice Insta.  Lot of photos.
Also, found a YouTube video produced back in his hometown.  Was quite interesting, hearing how he was involved in acting and the arts from a young age.

The Gilded Age’s “clock twink” loves the memes, but he’s trying to look past them.
