Please move if this will live better in the "Ask a Provider" subforum

A little background: I work as a photographer's assistant. I'm learning as much as I could and hope to eventually strike it on my own.

Along with the small projects I get through my mentor/boss, I want to build a portfolio of my own, specifically sexy male portraits.

I thought about getting in touch with providers on Rentmen who list "modeling" in their "available for." I'll be upfront about why I am hiring them and what the expectations will be (that basically, their photos might show up in my future website along with all my other work).

Good or weird idea?

The only caveat here is that it will get pretty expensive, fast. Does TFP (time for print) exist for OnlyFans performers that I can perhaps tap?

I think it is a great idea.  Offer free prints of the photographs you take as payment for the escorts time.  A lot will depend on where you are located and how large the market of escorts is.  I would guess that guys just getting started in escorting would definitely be in need of good quality photographs to put up on their rentmen ad.  Give it a try you have absolutely nothing to lose.

I’ve been approached and published in the past numerous times: the business exchange is modeling for a fee, model recognition on content used, rights to use content or some of it on my own websites or ad profiles, full portfolio of images reviewed by a certain date~ If the artist passes away, the images are passed back to the model.

I think there's a fairly large provider crowd near where I live. I just hesitated because in my head, Rentmen =/= Model Mayhem 😅. As long as my costs don't go out the window, I'm willing to either pay them for their time or give them a copy of the photos for their use (or a combination of both).

When you were contracted to model, did you give the photographer an adjusted rate, or was it your normal provider rate?

Can you elaborate a little bit about the clause should I die? I thought that as long as the model has the raw files (or a collection of edited TIFs), that'll suffice.

You had best have some sort of contract and model release agreement form with regard to who is allows what, when, why and where~ Content use and ownership can become a complicated matter especially when content is published, shown or shared~

And you could end up in a world of legal problems. @Tygerscent is correct. Please get legal advice on this. At least, study the legal contracts and release forms that are used by the photographer you assist.

I know a couple of providers who have used a photographer for this purpose. They have used some of the photos in their RM ads.

I didn't ask the specifics of their arrangements but the photos turned out great. Only caveat is that they appear very polished and in a way staged. Not natural. I guess I would say idealized.

Depending on the type of shoot… You may also need to be 2257 compliant:

2257 Compliance is a big deal~
