I haven't, but some friends used to camp there, I think. They never quite told me the name of the place (they are ADHD, like with a diagnosis and everything) but based on their description this is the place. Looks like a place I have to check out.

That Apache Trial is a hell of a nightmare to drive and this looks to be all the way up on the lake. It was built one-way as a circle just so trucks could get up to build Roosevelt Dam and many trucks fell off the cliffs.

good history, @tassojunior , but this place is not on the Apache Trail (Az highway 88).....it's over on the other side of the Superstitions (south side) between the towns of Florence Junction and Superior near Queen Valley......
