Bad camera work in porn videos

I just alluded to the famous Mike Branson/Tom Chase scene in California Kings in another thread, and I decided afterwards to watch it again. I'd forgotten how annoying it was that the cameraman rapidly zipped from one shot to another repeatedly throughout the scene. There was no editing to alleviate the problem. It was very distracting.

 

I recently watched an even older video called Hot Off The Press. Jon King had 2 scenes in it. In the first one, the video cameraman was atrocious. At one point he had the still photographer completely in the frame between himself and the performers, and several times you saw a piece of the still photographer.

 

Any bad examples y'all can think of?

Can't think of specific examples of bad camera work in porn videos, but I know I've seen it! What I find distracting is dubbed vocalizations in lots of BelAmi videos. There's very exaggerated moaning and grunting that doesn't even sound like it's coming from the actors. I visualize a couple of video production guys in a post-filming editing room, grunting and moaning into a microphone, trying (unsuccessfully) to sync their noises to the action.

I saw a scene a little while ago with I think Quentin Gainz and Spencer Laval that was intense with a lot of torrid tongue kissing, deep sucking, hard fucking etc for half the scene and then the director or cameraperson had the guys separate to different sides of the bed and beat off for the rest of the scene. WTF?

You are not alone. Bel Ami vids never do anything for me. I remember the 10,000 man JO-fest (maybe it was 100 - who knows?). It was about as erotic as watching someone put away the groceries. Plus, as @SundayZip pointed out, the moans and groans sounded fake and certainly didn't sound like 100 guys.

Timing is everything. This vid just popped up. I gotta give credit to the dudes who manage the money shot within seconds of each other. Notice the ”still” photographer who is in many scenes - he doesn’t even try to get out of the way!
