It depends on how willing you are to market yourself and the constant game of minimizing churn.

There's a HUGE amount of turnover if you don't produce regular content. Most of what I see on OF is unoriginal and becomes repetitive very, very quickly. The key to making real money on the platform is finding a gimmick that people want to see, tweaking it slightly over time so they don't get bored and injecting a personality that viewers can latch onto.

If you have the time to invest, yes, it can be rewarding. But it won't come easy.

Mine does ok. It’s very content hungry, you have to keep putting on regular new content, of good quality (not shot on an I phone with bad lighting and wobbly camera work) and engage your audience.

I do massage porn so it has a theme. I think it’s best to have a clear theme and style and to tweak it over time. I agree with what the previous poster says about investing time. Stand out from the crowd and you’ll do ok.

Oh and promote it....like this

It can be but don’t underestimate how much work it is. The guys who are the most successful doing it are constantly creating content (like daily) and constantly marketing it non-stop. You will have to be engaging with your following constantly in order to promote it. If you will be collaborating with other guys for sex scenes, you will have to constantly be looking for other guys who are willing to hook up and film. I see guys all the time looking for other hot guys to film with. And finding ways to not make your page redundant. Make no mistake about it, it will be a lot of work.

I would refer to Rhyheim Shabazz's site and see how a professional does it. Actually he is not someone I would be all that attracted to but he does a lot that makes his site worthy buying into. First, it is filmed well. I think it may be because he has someone else doing the filming so that he gets good shots. However in the beginning that was not necessarily the case, meaning that he had stationary cameras. However that being the case he still was able to film and edit his vids in such a way that the sound was very good and you could see the good shots (in most cases). Second, as was mentioned, in general he has been able to film with guys that are very appealing. Of course, that depends on your taste but as time as gone on he has been able to get the bigger stars to be his partners (not size but stardom). And he treats his partners in a really appealing way. Some he knows to be very passionate and that proves what certain audience members want. At other times he can sense that his partners just want him to be a little rougher and that appeals to his audience. Of course, people want to film with him because they figure his audience might see them and join their sites. As also was mentioned, he puts out a lot of product and much (if not most) is done with other guys. On some sites what you get most are solos but I do not think most audience members just want to see a guy jack off every day. Some are but it seems that most are paying to see the person you are paying to see have sex with other guys. A solo very occasionally is OK. Also, as was discussed, put the link to your page everywhere so people who see you know they can get there and know what your moniker (?) on the OnlyFans page is. Unfortunately, it appears that Rhyheim recently has had more and more guys doing scenes where he does not appear. The two guys are worth watching but I fear he is just going to be producing more and appearing less. I am not sure if people will remain as patrons.

P.S. Forgot, one thing I initially found helpful was to have short trailers of what you expect to show in the near future on your OnlyFans site on your twitter page. People (I believe) see what they will find and get interested.

@Jamie21 Your Valentine's Day rimming trailer looks nice! Tasty, too. But I am too cheap to join!

Is it worth investing time in an Onlyfans account?

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!

Greg

Is it worth investing time filming yourself having sex with other hot guys owning your own porno and charging others to see it? YES but it's a personal choice.

Many famous pornstars make waaaaay more money that way, some don't even need to escort.

Where is that long thread about verified onlyfans income in the Deli?

Guys who have fans sites collaborating with other guys who have fans sites seems to be a "thing". They contact and network with each other, film together and cross-post their content (meaning, share ownership of the content, both post and and each gets whatever revenue they can from their fans site). Same seems to be true for some group (orgy) scenes. You might "dip your toe into the water" this way - try to connect and film with other guys, you'll create content, get your name out there (through their fans pages) and learn a lot about how it all works. Seems easier than trying to "go it alone" from scratch.

Supposed straight guys like Jeff Kasser, Travis DesLaurier and Mario Adrion do this. There is Travis Bryant who is the sole actual gay guy of the group. And they do a lot of collaboration with each other. I stopped subscribing to all of them because it was mostly tease content and wanting to pay extra for the “good stuff” in DM’s. Not sure what their content is like these days if they’re still teasing or if they finally have revealed more.

I'd second @TruthBTold. Rhyheim does a great job (@SRhyheim on twitter)... but he also works like a maniac ?. He tells me he's lazy but I really admire his work ethic. I think like anything else, what you put in is what you get out.

I don't think onlyfans (or any social media for that matter) can be done casually... at least... if one intends to achieve 'career' level income with it, then it takes a 'career' amount of time investment (at least, that's my current running theory). That being said, it is a lot less time than a 9-5 ?. And a part of it involves sex!

Mine is doing OK ?

This really depends on your strategy. I felt it disparaging to my own personal brand to dip into OF. This was me and my own direction for career pathing. Everyone is different and has their own angle though. There are certainly pros but I felt there to be many cons so I opted out.
