Some of our most frequent posters have disappeared from the board lately. I know that Lucky has retired from the board to pursue other interests (no, he is not being vetted for Obama's V-P), and a couple of others have taken a break due to health problems, but there hasn't been any word lately from deej, either. I have queried a few insiders, who are also mystified by his silence. We hope nothing is wrong. Does anyone else have any information? (And I mean information, not gratuitous potshots at those who are absent.)

I reviewed a LOT of OLD POSTINGS on this site before joining and saw a common theme. A LOT of people were upset about the BULLYING on the site. Some went as far as to state that they felt the UNWARRANTED ATTACKS that they received from some were on the worst level of High School/Adolescent antics. MAYBE some of these posters just GAVE UP THE FIGHT and decided to put this site behind them? Is a sign of MATURITY on this site now leaving the BULLYS alone to just play with themselves?

You have to stand up to the bully's and report them.

A little bird (with a fat ass) told me about this thread.

>your style doesn't really sound like deej

Thank you for that, Charlie. It's one of the few pleasant feedback moments I've had in the last 10 years. :-) You know my voice, and I kinda like that.

Nothing sinister going on folks. I'm fine, for anyone that actually cares. (And I quit smoking, too!)

I went through a long period of intense over-work (DAMN THE IRS!) and the last thing I wanted to do on the rare occasions when I was home was stare into a computer screen. When I finally had time I found I didn't miss this place at all. Wasn't even curious. I did check in and found threads I really didn't care to know about and hated to read so I just didn't.

<shrug>

Not skulking, just don't give a damn. Sorry.

All my life I have had a thick skin, aided, I’m sure, my thirty six year of teaching at the public high school level. When about six years ago I began posting on this site that thick skin came in extremely handy. Some of the guys, posting here at that time, could be verbally “vicious”. Does anybody, beside me, remember Woodlawn (?). He took me apart on more than one occasion BUT guess what I survived. His command of the English language was outstanding AND he was never dull. I know some of you will disagree with me but, in many ways, I miss all the heat and furor of those days. At times we are just so terribly, TERRIBLY nice that we are as boring as hell

I not only remember Woodlawn, I remember his earlier incarnation with another handle. And I don't miss him at all, especially whenever he lost control and started screaming at anyone who pointed out even his minor errors.

If you think we are terribly nice now, you are obviously avoiding certain current threads and posters.

Kytop has had some health issues and most likely thats why we haven't seen him much this year. I hope that he will overcome them and return in the future.

I appreciate the thoughts. Yes, I have had some serious health problems and after months of test and still a big ? mark from the doctors I am finally feeling somewhat better. During this time I realized life can be short and have taken a close look at my priorities in life. This site, which was so much a part of my life, is now no longer so, Nor is hiring. There are other reasons I have slowly slipped away but I still peek in once in awhile.

I've met many great guys from this site, escorts and non-escorts alike, that I still consider friends. I wish everyone well and again thanks for your thoughts.

For the first time in a long time, I felt like giving Boston Guy a chance to emerge from his slumber. This was the first thread I saw. :-)

I think a lot of people just moved on to other things. I know I did. I'm still traveling a lot and seeing escorts but other things in my life have emerged as (much) larger uses of my free time. All good and fun but just a different direction.

It's good to see some of the old names. :-)
