As some could probably already tell, am not all that 'cultured.' My experience with plays and musicals have only been limited to The Lion King, American Idiot, Les Miserables, The Book of Mormon, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Totally missed the plays and musicals where hot men like Aaron Tveit and Matthew Morrison show more than just their acting and singing prowess. What similar plays or musicals with near-naked hotties have I missed?

I have seen South Pacific (Matthew Morrison as Cable), Spring Awakening, Chicago (lots of shirtless men), a version of Present Laughter where the young male playwright in love with Garry is nude on stage, Priscilla Queen of the Desert. This doesn't include countless shows with men naked from the waist up for large portions of shows. I'm sure I'm missing quite a few.

@JoeMendoza it sounds like you are best off watching the Broadway Bares fundraisers via YouTube. Its combo of beauty and talent shows both in great light. Hope you also like boobs. No full frontal - down to floss and a small stage-worthy sock. Dancers butts: The best.

Male full frontal nudity in live theatre is most often about one of two things: shock value (often comedic, but not always) and as an outward manifestation of the character’s extreme emotional vulnerability.

Situational nudity (showers, dressing, or just before or after sex (seduction?) ) is usually brief and not really the focus of the scene, though depending on casting, can steal focus.

Naked Boys Singing and Party were two successful shows that liberally used male nudity to acknowledge and laugh at most everyone’s discomfort with seeing unclothed men. There is a full video of NAKED BOYS SINGING, and you can find that online I bet. It has very clever writing and staging, some strong musical performances, and even some poignant moments about love. In a way, you eventually forget they’re all nude.

Oh, yes... I know people who saw it (with Maxwell Caulfield, rather than Matthew)

1985 Off Broadway. Said the script was meh...Even the beauty that was the nude Max couldn’t save the play. (I worked with him in 2000 or so and he was still gorgeous and really funny and sweet - and wonderful on stage. He stayed mostly dressed.)

wonder if these broadway talents extend their skills into the escorting world. perhaps if they are constantly booked as main casts they probably would not do it, but I wonder if folks in the ensemble or more supporting role have considered RM as a side hustle.

I have worked on lots of big shows with lots of beautiful men. It’s likely that among them were some Providers, but it was before internet was the means of advertising, and the B&W photos in newsprint ads were small. It’s often hard in the entertainment biz to get away with the secret for too long, as some clients can move within the same circles, sometimes in casting/hiring positions.

Reminder:. Jessica Tandy and Elizabeth Wilson had bigger roles in "Salonika" than Maxwell. I never missed a play with Jessica, or a. musical with Vivien Leigh. I saw "Tovarich" in the Boston tryout

Maxwell Caulfield was in an off-broadway production of "My Night with Reg" and had a nude scene with an also nude Sam Trammell (True Blood). I was in the front row and I swear Sam was tumescent. Also, more recently, also off-broadway was "Afterglow" with three very fine young men naked most of the time.
