Thanks for posting this @Otto, I wasn’t aware of this. I’ll watch any movie about an octopus - such a fascinating and intelligent creature.

 

I watched 2x an excellent documentary about a marine biologist in Alaska who had an octopus as a pet.

It’s mildly interesting.

Not great cinematography, but not bad.

The story seemed a bit forced.

I just found it. “The Octopus in My House” was a documentary from BBC 2019/2020. The newly divorced biologist bought a female octopus and she bonded readily and played with his daughter. The tank for the octopus was positioned so she could see the TV. She proved a quick learner.

I enjoyed this thoroughly. Photography was interesting and some of the interactions between the man and the octopus were amazing. Octopi are very intelligent and adaptable and seeing the full life of one of these creatures gave me profound respect for the species and for life on earth in general. I have seen it twice and I got choked up the first time and then surprisingly the second time as well.
