I've never had any experience with Apple products but I bought the Ipad Pro 2020 12.9 inch a couple of months ago. I use it to read my daily digital newspapers but mostly I wanted to have access to Facetime - which works great on an Ipad Pro (besides using it to call family members I've also used Facetime to verify escorts). Even though there are some features about the Apple environment I'm not happy with, I am pleased enough to consider trading in my Samsung S20 Ultra for the new iPhone 12. I've been really disappointed with the camera on the Samsung S20 - it's got so many bells & whistles that it overly complicates photo taking. Anyway, I highly recommend the iPad Pro Gen 4. BTW, the new software update expands the use of converting ordinary writing into text, which works great.

I own the 11 inch gen 3. Just got the Apple Pencil 2 and they’re amazing together.

I have last year’s iPad Pro 12.9 and I don’t know how I lived without it.

what are your needs @sydneyboy ?

 

I just considered updating my iPad to an iPad Pro and opted for a surfacePro instead. But I still can’t give up the ease of use and availability of apps for an iPad. So, I’ve chosen to update my iPad with a newer one having more memory. So now I have one of each meeting different needs/applications.

I upgraded from iPad versions 1 to ipad Pro 12.9 in October 2020, with magic keyboard, and i-pen.

 

Result I rarely turn my iMac on now.

Oh that’s interesting, I’m thinking about switching from iPhone to Samsung. Was the camera the only issue you had with S20?

Do you mean the iPad 1st generation??

 

I’m thinking to upgrade my iPad 3rd generation onto the newest model next year. I use my iPad as a kindle or to watch YouTube.

Yes it was the first generation, I know. Over 10 years old, but i could read on it, do facebook, play some games ......
