I didn't file income taxes for 2018 or 2019 so I tried getting a stimulus package by registering online but the site kept buffering every time I tried to complete my application

I don't think you should just give up on registering online. The traffic to the government sites is mammoth. It took me many repeated tries for a long time to get the information I wanted from the IRS site.

There was no information on the IRS site for me UNTIL I put in my banking info and filled out the questionnaire..... Then I got an email from the IRS saying that I was eligible for the stimulus, and I will get another update as soon as a check date is set for direct deposit.

The IRS website was finally fixed a week or so ago to allow more people to verify their eligibility for a payment and to enter direct deposit information if their 2018 and/or 2019 did not have bank information. Those of you still waiting who gave up trying to use the website a couple of weeks ago might want to try again.

The same happened to me, except that every time I checked back, all it said was that I would receive a letter telling me when I would receive the check. No letter or email has ever arrived, but the deposit suddenly appeared in my bank account last week. It may be worthwhile to check your bank account daily rather that wait for notification from the gov"t.

The way the procedure works....you receive your direct deposit or your paper check.....

AFTERWARDS (supposedly within 2 weeks) you receive a letter from the IRS telling you / confirming what they did.....

If you did not receive your $$$$ as the letter indicates that you should have, then you want to contact the IRS to inform them that receipt did not occur.....(I think at that point an IRS agent knocks on your door with an apology & hands you cold, hard cash ;))

Same here. Keep trying.

I checked the website yesterday and it informed me I’d get my payment via direct deposit this week. I’m SO grateful it’s coming via direct deposit. I’m so irrationally angry at La Donald I might have pissed on or otherwise defaced a paper check bearing his signature.

You are exactly right, I never got any update after their original correspondence, but when I checked the site today, I had a deposit date of this coming Wed... So I guess the site is functioning well now, and you just need to keep checking it for status ?

Now dont be so hasty or let that anger wash over you. Think rationally that the check could allow for perhaps "3 play sessions".....

Doesnt that calm you down a bit ? I know it may be awhile, and those "playmates" may be way too old by then, but hey, I'm told geriatric sex aint that bad !:eek::eek:

Although I find it puzzling why Trump's name is printed on a government check made payable to a U.S. citizen, the check is not signed by him.

His name is printed on the left side of the check.

In addition to his name, his title is printed to remind us that he is president, oh, good!

I wonder how many check recipients would not have known his title had he not added "president of the United States" on the checks.

It is not standard practice for the President's name to appear on a government check (it is signed by the US Treasurer), but Trump insisted that they print his name on it as well.

I know he is not an authorized signer.

I also know that putting his name and title on the checks was a form of campaigning for reelection. What other reason could there be for doing that?

Hopefully, the stimulus payment project will be resolved before many more delays.

Likewise ???

Now, I just have to figure out how far the check will go for hiring ? Do you think there will be an escort "sale" ? OR will prices go UP to compensate for their deficits during quarantine ? AND will Kissing be off the table for many of them ? So many unanswered questions..... I will wait for the Dr Fauci of escorts @Benjamin_Nicholas to weigh in.... ;)
