The last couple months have been pretty up and down for me day job wise. Quitting one company and going to another and readjusting to working all the while trying to go to the gym but not feeling it all and didn't go for the last month. Even though I wasn't going to the gym I was trying to be good like not eating out and fixing foods at home, which is hard for me because I HATE cooking. Despite not going to the gym for the last month for some odd crazy reason I went down from 155 to 147. I make it a habit of not having a scale at home but weighed myself at the gym (finally going back) and was pleasantly surprised. I thought I lost a little weight but not that much! Now I am about 10 pounds to where I want to be at the minimum, 135. I hate winter but I am looking forward to what next month will have in store for me weight wise since I am now back at the gym. Now if I could just figure out how to make the cardio machines fun.

Hugs,

Greg

I'm the opposite. I don't mind lifting weights. I feel I see results faster and I don't feel as tierd as quickly as I do cardio. If it wasn't so expensive I'd prob just pay a Dr to suck the fat out of my gut that's how much I dislike cardio. No amount of tv or Madonna music from the Ipod will make me enjoy it.

Hugs,

Greg

Sorry to hear about your MS I hope you are aware of all the good treatments available and that in most cases, a full and productive life is probable. Getting and keeping fit is certainly one way to make the life you have more fulfilling and productive, so keep up the good work with that.

I have never seen a purplekow;

I never hope to see one;

I can tell you anyhow;

I'd rather see than be one

Help there is a purplekow in my mirror

Damn, Joseph!

But if anyone is ready for an MS diagnosis it's a body worker. You know the things you have to do.

Still, can I offer a big roundhouse hug? (And then squeeze your butt affectionately and get you back up on the machine?)

Nothing but good thoughts from here.

You're better equipped than most to deal with it, but a hug is still waiting anyway. Hugs never go to waste.

I agree cardio machines are NOT fun and I never use them. But there are many ways to get a cardio workout that is fun or at least useful.

Sex can of course be cardio. Dancing can be a great cardio workout, at least the spastic way I often dance. And walking, running or bicycling to actually get somewhere is not only rewarding but can be very time efficient since that is time you don't need to spend in the Gym.
