Please mark your calendars for the next Forum DC Gathering, January 19, 2020.

As with past DC gatherings, the event will span the MLK weekend, and coincide with Mid Atlantic Leather (MAL). Here is the link to the MAL reservations page: https://www.leatherweekend.com/

The dates for MAL are January 17- 19, 2020. The DC Forum group brunch will be held on Sunday, January 19. The venue is secured and details regarding timing and location will be sent via email on January 11.

There will be a range of get-togethers, culminating in the traditional brunch on Sunday. This event is open to Forum Members including clients and providers.

This event WILL happen, and you can start making arrangements with confidence. Please RSVP by January 4 if possible. However, we’ll continue to accept replies right up to the event.

For those of you who may not be interested in MAL or the leather scene, not to worry! Traditionally the DC gathering has coincided with MAL because it's a long weekend and many of us are in town, but the forum gathering is otherwise independent of the leather activities and is welcoming to all forum members. You may choose to sample some of the MAL activities, or go "whole-hog", or alternatively forgo them completely. That's up to you.

If you're interested in attending, please send a direct message to me @ArVaGuy. As the date approaches, we'll get in touch with each member who has expressed interest. If you have general questions related to the event please ask in this thread.

I’m excited to be continuing this fun tradition and hope you'll join. Thanks.

I have my travel and hotel booked but I could not get anything too close to the host hotel. Staying at Madera. It was inexpensive but a Kimpton, which I have found to give you a nice stay for an inexpensive price.

That‘s a good hotel and nice location. I’ve fucked several escorts there. ?

Sounds like a fun event, but, sadly, I’ll be in the PNW that month and it’s a dreadfully long round trip flight.

And it's so effing cold when you get there, although I may be ready for 'cold' by then. Still won't be going though.

speaking of DC cold, after the forum DC meet a couple or three years ago, I decided to walk from my hotel (the Kimpton Rouge, I think, for those who know the location) to Union Station to catch my late morning train.....I like to walk, didn't have much luggage, and it was a bright and sunny day with temperatures, ohhhhhh, in the teens or twenties F or so.......took a shower in the room and hit the road, hair still wet......by the time I reached Union Station, much of my hair had frozen solid!.....quite a surprise for this desert dweller......

Fortunately, it’s rarely that frigid in DC.

Also is this your way to telling me I was right when I told you not to walk and to take a Uber?. Don't say you wanted the exercise, we all know you did not want to spend the 20 bucks for a ride.

Surely it's only about 10 bux?

You are probably a bit short there, but in my estimate I was including a tip, which, considering the passenger, would not have been forthcoming, so I may have been a bit over. The Price Is Right rules state you win because you were the closer without going over. .

Lol, I should retire gracefully from the field of play!
