This article made me think Randy might consider doing personal appearances. But part of might feel awkward asking. Curious what others think:

Honestly, I think he’s desperate for money and if someone offered enough or guaranteed a regular amount for something ongoing, he would probably meet up. He’s just not willing to do it for 200 an hour.

I tried reaching out to him, he responded and followed me back on IG. I asked him to relocate to the PNW since there are a lot of entry-level jobs here. He responded about needing $1,100 to get his license back. I don't have a drivers license here and I can get work. It's like he was deflecting my offer to help and just wanted money instead.

 

I asked him if he can cook, clean and do errands? He said yes with a lol. But, I think he is a lost soul at this time and is likely on meth based on his appearance. He looked high in his last video.

 

Such a handsome fellow, shame to see him go to waste. I messaged him with a third offer, I made it clear, no sex involved. I want a summer body by June 2020, come live with me and help with training, nutrition and techniques. Thanks for your positive help to this person to uplift his life. What you mention here suggests that he just wants the money and want to be in the comfort zone! A real needy person will show interest and try to experiment with his life if he is really broke to this extent! You can dig a well for a thirty person and bring it near the well! If he doesn’t want to draw the water and drink then you can’t do nothing more! You did your part!

If memory serves correctly he is taking care of his dad and needs to live near him. Speaking from experience, convincing an elderly parent to move cross-country is like pissing in the wind.

 

And cost prohibitive. Plus moving away from one's doctors, etc, can be very daunting for infirmed and elderly parents.

I wasn't aware he had an elderly sick parent and he never mentioned it during our conversation. If that was the case, I would certainly understand. It is just so sad to see a young handsome guy wither like that. He's really young, like in his late 20's I believe. I have read about too many deaths from the gay porn industry this year. I saw an opportunity to reach out in some way, yes, he's attractive, but its about the bigger picture here, I want to rescue him. This country saved me from my oppressive society and when I see the abundance of opportunities here, I am trying to give back some of what I have earned from it. There are exceptions though, I am not just gonna give you $1,100 for free, thats my rent money.

He never realized that the vast majority of porn actors have a shelf life, and then it’s time to actually work.

 

And yet you, and many others, continue to read.

 

Porn actors come from all walks of life, but porn disproportionately draws from a pool of young men who don't readily have lots of career opportunities. The more successful they are at porn, the more likely their involvement becomes broadly known and further restricts their options in "Randy"'s case, it appears to have been compounded by an aging parent's decline which, from personal I experience I know is a form of both emotional and financial tax of its own.

Unfortunately, the ego doesn’t let them think rationally! They think they are invincible and irreplaceable. Those who know these facts do good in life.

 

I suspect this is a bit of a toss off line, but it's more than a bit harsh and callous. "Randy" appears to be a young man facing a difficult time in his life. Neither you nor I nor anyone who isn't close to him knows what factors have contributed to his current situation, but I doubt it's as simple as "ego" or thinking they're "invincible and irreplaceable". Many young men turn to porn because they lack other opportunities or they face a short term financial crisis. They lack the resources (family, friends, connections, educational opportunities, etc.) to thrive, so they get involved in porn. If they become accustomed to the fleeting adulation that may accompany acting in porn, whatever it says about them, it says at least as much about the rest of us who watch them, seek them out and folow them on social media, fawn over them, and then turn our attention to the next shiny new model.

 

Much like with the escorts we hire, it's worth remembering that porn actors are people, too. Compassion rather than dismissal and derision can be good for the soul.
