Interesting thread. I smoked pot when in my twenties, so it's been awhile. I recall laughing at parties with friends and watching movies, especially comedies. That was when you went to the video store and rented a VHS tape! For some reason it just lost all appeal. At my present age I have zero desire. Does anyone think it an age thing? Is it more appealing or enjoyable when one is younger?

I just want to find something that can give me a nice little buzz. I enjoy having a few beers with friends from time to time, but alcohol has a tendency to give me headaches. Getting a buzz by eating a gummy or cookie doesn't have the uncomfortable side effects I can get from alcohol. I think a little buzz could lessen my inhibitions when having fun with an escort.

Yes! I've told myself that Cats must be great when stoned. Sadly I don't.

 

Not sure listening to Broadway show tunes helps. A live concert however by a leading Broadway personality might benefit. Probably not Ethel Merman at Carnegie Hall (1982) though. The concert is available surprisingly.

I was imagining back when I saw him at The Pantages few years ago. There is a video of him on YouTube. Perfect body.

 

I saw i him n "Hedwig" in New York so completely agree. Darren is coming back to Broadway in a revival of "American Buffalo" with Laurence Fishburne.

Watching TV/movies.

 

In college, watching Saturday Night Live (the original cast). Then, didn't partake for many years after college.

 

Several years ago, I took it up again for a little while. Again, I enjoyed it watching TV. Groundhog Day was a lot of fun to watch. Some have said the Wizard of OZ is good to watch stoned, but never have.

 

Never really enjoyed sex and being stoned. Thought I would the first time I got high before, but didn't.

 

Oh, I do like music more while high.

The first time I was given poppers was in a threesome with two older guys ("older" meaning in their 30s). They apparently thought it would make me wildly sexual, but instead I thought I was having a heart attack and was going to die, and was so panicked that it killed the scene; they gently suggested that maybe I should leave and let the two of them get on with it. When I told my best friend about it afterwards, he revealed that he had used poppers when having sex, and it was no big deal: just use them when you need to relax your inhibitions, because the effect won't last long. So from then on, I did.

 

The first time I was given hash, I completely lost track of who I was with and what we were doing, but when I came down my ass told me the answer.

 

The first time I was given LSD, the provider asked me to tell him what I really wanted to do, and I told him I wanted to be a sex slut for a motorcycle gang; he thought that was pretty funny, but advised me against it. Instead we went for a lovely Sunday afternoon walk in Central Park, where we stopped in the public men's room. As I zipped up, I looked around at the other men there, giggled, and all of a sudden all of us were giggling: everyone was stoned on something!

 

All of those first time experiences were in the 1960s. I haven't been stoned on anything in many years.

@Keith30309 lol dead from the thought of doing that while high.

 

For me, it all depends on the strain and what I'm doing. For me, an indica will go well with binaural beats (alpha, theta) with some ambient musical overlay or Tibetan chants. This would be great to relax and blast off into space.

 

For the sativa strains, those would be my go-to for private get togethers, dinner parties, etc.

I've never been out in public high, that's not my thing.

If anyone's familiar with the works of Jason Silva, he gets into set/setting which is key, for me at least when diving into cannabis.
