Noticed the Johann in Minneapolis had a new pix posted today. Couldn't resist looking at it since he's been on my hire list for quite some time. (Why is it that my business trips never include Minneapolis?)

seems like this list (or similar) has come up before. I know 15 and 17 have been fully discussed. I disagree with 15 and think it is the escorts responsibility to keep track of time.

From what I read, he sounds like an obnoxious twit. All those rules! I just wanna have some fun, dude. If you're going ot be an escort, you just have to take the risk that every once in a while you will meet someone you don't like, or, a cop. Just stay away from the airport and you will do fine!

I agree he's an obnoxious twit who's older than he claims. Rule 5 says to pay up front. Like hell. Every wise client knows services are paid for after they are rendered. Any time I find one of these lists on an escort's site I drop any thought of hiring the guy. Lists like these usually spell trouble in my book.

Wow I didn't know he was that old. He has been using the same pictures ever since I started looking for escorts, and that goes back probably five or six years.

Maybe someone should give him an etiguette list written by clients for escorts...:-)

Adam - The one time that I got arrested, one of the problems that almost happened was because of what I was carrying with me. I had to answer several questions I wouldn't have had to as the police thought that all poppers, not just the kind I didn't have with me, were illegal.

The list is a bit idealized from the viewpoint of one escort. Many escorts for instance ask on the phone what the client is into, and of course, the mention the fee. No escorts has ever asked for ID and I would be very suspicious if he did. What good does it do the escort? It will tell him the client is over 18 but that will usually be obvious, and the drivers license will not tell him the client is a cop. Many escorts make the first move, and all will eventually. Most do not seem to expect a tip, and $10 would seem too small if there is to be a tip. On todays market it would be less than 10%. As a general rule you are not expected to tip service people who are independent and not employees. He sets his own fee and presumabley it is enough.

While I found Johann's list very interesting and thought-provoking, I'm in total agreement that paying in advance is something that will never happen with me. I usually leave my "contribution" in a very visible place so the escort knows I'm not going to stiff them. But, I've never had anyone try pick it up in advance.

Until recently I would always gave a tip. But, as another poster mentioned, prices have risen to the point that it seems the tip is now included in the hourly rate. My salary certainly has not risen at the same rate as some escort prices. There are several guys I'd really like to hire but they're outta my price range and I'm not about to beg for a senior citizen discount. :+

This is where I kinda disagree. I always set an alarm on my watch or PDA for 30 minutes past the negotiated time. This allows for the escort to be a few minutes late or for me to get too "involved". But, it clearly helps me remember that my time has expired and I need to either end the session or offer additional money for more time.

 

I just don't think it's right to put all the responsibility on the escort. I'm sure they're concerned about being reviewed and labeled as a "clock watcher". I view time management as the client responsibility.

Got to agree that this would make me a little uncomfortable and I'd probably end the session immediately. Now, I don't have a problem providing my "real" name - especially in a hotel situation where that info may be essential for the escort to get past hotel security. But, an ID check is a little extreme.

 

Still I appreciated reading Johann's suggestions and it's given me food for thought. Makes for an interesting discussion. ;-)

This is right on so many levels, and it doesn't have anything to do with time management.

 

If you intend not to use more than the hour, you'd better keep track of time. There was an interesting thread a few years ago where an escort said he put on a specific CD and when it was ending he knew his hour was up. (I had a mental image of Ravel's Bolero, but I'm sure that wasn't what was used.)

 

As a client, you must assume responsibility for your own sexual health and happiness. Nobody will do it for you!

 

If time is an issue, you must make sure you've handled that part. If you intend to have safer sex and show up unarmed, you deserve whatever you get.

 

Arrive prepared and ready, and communicate openly, and things will go well.
