Greetings Ryan,

If you go back through this thread you will find information on a number of the "gay resort" hotels available. The opinions regarding those hotels are strictly my own. Frankly if I were staying in one of the resorts it would be INNdulge. A goodly number of attendees stay there and really like it -- as do I. Now if you would like a place a little more basic and "raunchy" then you might want to consider the Canyon Club. Again a goodly number of attendees stay there and really like it.

As far as dress goes TruthBTold nailed it. Palm Springs during the winter is a snow birds escape paradise. "Resort Casual" is just fine even at some of the finer dinning venues. Frankly at my age (soon to be 79) my mirror doesn't lie to me so at the Sunday Pool Party I keep my cloths on. However, a number of our younger client types and a number of our escort in attendance "skinny dip" which is very decorative.

The spirit of the entire Palm Springs Weekend is "CASUAL FUN". I am very much looking forward to meeting you.

Thanks for the information. It's incredibly helpful. Considering "raunch" helped put my through undergraduate college and graduate school, that helps me determine which resort I should look at more closely. I tend to be without clothes whenever possible - you could say that's a direct result of my upbringing - but I'll be sure to being swim wear just in case I can't keep up with the younger men ?. Thanks again for all of the information... I look forward to meeting you as well, and please have a great week.

Ryan, though I stayed at the Hacienda (as I said mostly as a birthday treat to myself) I spent most of my time with other Forum members at Canyon Club. From what I was shown the rooms were indeed spartan but for a lot of people that was more than enough. In the end, I had a great time just sitting around the pool at CC watching the younger member/escorts show what comes naturally and gained a new experience with Dr. Vapor (you know who you are). From CC, people often chose to do other things if they wished - like go to the gay dance/strip club(s). As Epigonos said INNdulge is also supposed to be very nice. I never visited even though it is right down the street from the Hacienda. I think that would be my next choice if expenses prevented me from staying where I usually stay (which they well may).

Great question RyanDean. It's about time that I posted the weekend events for all to review, so here goes:

Thursday/Friday, April, 16th/17th – Guests arrive in Palm Springs. There are no planned events on these two days. Attendees mix with each other at the various hotels. Most will be staying at either INNdulge or the Canyon Club. During the evening there are all sorts of activities for guests to enjoy in Palm Springs: excellent restaurants, strip clubs, a karaoke bar, casinos, etc.

Saturday, April 18th – During the day people are on their own. Many spend time around the hotel pools socializing with new and old friends and enjoying the Palm Springs weather. At 5:00 pm everybody meets at a local restaurants (in the past Trio) for a get acquainted no host dinner. The dinner usually last about two hours. After the dinner guest are again free to enjoy the many delights of Palms Springs either alone or with new or old friends.

Sunday, April 19th – This is the weekend’s busiest day. During the morning people are again on their own. Beginning at about 1:00 pm Oliver holds a HOSTED pool party at his home. There will be everything under the sun to drink and tons of food. All the food and drink is provided gratis to all attendees. At around 7:30 pm there is a farewell no host dinner at a local Mexican Restaurants.

Monday/Tuesday, April 20th/21st – Guests depart Palm Springs hopefully after a wonderful weekend spent with a group of fun and like-minded guys.

P.S. Any of you guys who have regularly attended these Palm Spring Weekends PLEASE feel free to jump in and add your comments regarding the above events. Additionally any of you newbies considering attending PLEASE feel free to ask any additional questions you might have.

What no mention of delicious deviled eggs? Almost treasonous. :)

TruthBTold I didn't mention the deviled eggs because even though I make the disgusting damn things I refuse to eat them -- I absolutely and totally hate deviled eggs. Frankly I find it impossible to understand why people like them.

Hey Truth I'm VERY much looking forward to seeing you this year.

Thanks so much. I made my reservations for both plane and place for my ass to sleep today. I really look forward to it because fall has arrived in Chicago which means that winter and its below zero temps is just around the corner.

Perhaps I should be ashamed to admit it but I LOVE your deviled eggs and can't wait to sample a few. TBT

I do have a question... For the weekend, given the different types of venues we'll be meeting in, what types of attire are suggested for the more public events? I ask as I tend to over pack, and am trying to get better at it... Thanks guys!

For California, it's to look like one didn't try all that hard what to wear. It's certainly a place where one might admit they packed too many clothes.

Damn, the couturier told me that he made that outfit specifically for me and that it was one of a kind. I was planning on wearing it to the Italian restaurant dinner (appropriate I thought). What now?

I was also considering Santiago after hearing great things about it, though I do treat the Palm Springs weekend as an opportunity to get a bit sleazy and Canyon Club has been great in providing just the right amount of convenience, value and sleaziness.

Now that Rage Against the Machine was announced as the headline act at Coachella,

I expect remaining Santiago rooms will vanish. I will be there at Santiago part of the week so am looking forward to meeting anyone staying there.

Palm Springs sounds great about now with ridiculously cold temps in Chicago at the moment. I've booked INNdulge for Thursday 4/16 arrival, Monday, 4/20 check out. Such a great group of guys stayed there this past year, where's everyone staying in 2020?

John, Marvin and their good friend Glenn have kept in touch with me since Palm Springs and I mentioned this particular post to them. John asked me to let everyone know that they’ve decided to stick with the Inndulge. I have copied and pasted his text message to me:

Well. We have changed our mind. Definitely going to stay at Inndulge again. Had a better look at Santiago and decided the grass wasn’t greener. It’s Inndulge all the way for us. Please can you post that although it’s nice we feel Inndulge is nicer ??

I'm glad to hear that!

Congratulations. It is one of those too cold for Thanksgiving in Chicago. We will have to get together. I will be staying right around the corner from you at the Hacienda. Just a birthday treat.
