I got pulled over east of Nashville on I -40 for no reason. The officer gave me a warning ticket for “following too closely”, whatever that means.

Aka Tail-Gating?

Remember the 2-second rule? R the 1 car-length per 10 mph of speed?

There is so much tail-gating on I-5 in California it should be called a sport.

Yeah, but sod that. Just because someone else did it doesn’t mean I am. They can’t use that as probable cause or evidence in court. Many drug stops isn’t me.

Also, you’re not understanding the degree of what I don’t like. These aren’t just stops: these are 45 minute interrogations, having them search your vehicle while you’re waiting in a police car or on the side of the road, etc. that’s not cool.

And mind you: after all of that, I was able to return to my car and drive off. Which I was glad, but it goes to show. It’s not just a war on drugs. It’s sales. Marketing.

Then, if I really did have something...like some of my clients over the years I have seen do: I’d be car towed, impound, jailed, basically life fucked.

And as much as I hate drugs and don’t do them, I still don’t feel it’s fair to stop people who are minding their business and try to find a way to screw up their life (which I’m sure the drugs also screw up their life, but there’s the addict and then there’s the successful businessman/college student too)

WHATEVER.

Your behavior, your statements and the animosity you so obviously hold towards law enforcement creates your circumstances.

in other words: she was dressed like a slut, she asked to get raped...

I guess there's not much talk on Fox News about ethnic profiling and some folks being stopped and arrested more than others.

I have gotten stopped in 7 states and I have gotten tickets in 7 states, all of them original colonies in the NE. I have been stopped numerous other times and gotten off with a warning. I do a lot of travelling at 1 to 5 AM and with little traffic and bored cops, tickets are an eventuality. Have not gotten one in several years however.

Tailgating? How anyone can follow the car ahead at less than one car length is beyond me.

It is a sport: it’s called drifting

Excuse me? Oh no you didn’t! You are being quite overally sensitive. And I don’t know what circumstances you refer to I create, but that’s jive talk.

I don’t know where you get that from, but that’s not the case. I’ve met several clients who were formerly in law enforcement. I have no problem with them nor anyone who currently is in the force.

I do know however, many traffic stops are bogus and unfair. I remember many years ago, San Antonio, Texas (prime police state) was riding with a couple of friends in their Honda Civic, we all had to get out and have the car searched. Nothing incriminating was found. It was just a waste of time and unnecessary interaction with a “peace” officer.

So yes, I don’t have any “problem” with law enforcement like you erroneously seem to believe I do, but I do have an issue with them performing random stops/searches. I think it should be unlawful unless someone gets into an accident. I feel the same way with DUI’s. People shouldn’t get a DUI unless they cause an accident/drive reckless. But I won’t go there either. Even though I see more crashes caused by people going to/from work in rush hour traffic than there are from having a couple drinks (like the lady who rammed her Volvo into the side of our moving truck at like 40 mph because she was running late on her way to work). Just saying.

However, If a police shouldn’t be able to randomly knock on our door and “search our premises”, then they should have no business searching a vehicle.

If police could randomly knock on doors and search homes (with no warrant) like they do with cars, lots of gay men would be criminals now, considering all the drugs I’ve seen in homes and hotels. And I’m not just talking druggies, but successful high ranking business men. Yet...I’m supposed to be okay and not murmur about them searching a vehicle? Pì TASH!

Well congratulations, it happened again. I-40 west.

I told them there’s nothing to be found, but if they wanted to waste an hour of time searching...Go ahead now, I’ll do mine later.

I want to say I’m done with roadtrips, I’m just going to stick with flying. But even then...going thru TSA is the conveyor belt equivalent of a traffic stop.

It’s like one of the male porn stars on Twitter who’s sex toys were exposed in the TSA line.

It’s just a fucked up society we live in. Shit makes you want to leave because living in so much fear and anxiety. At the same time theres nothing to be scared of. They ask what I do? I’m a traveling male stripper. Here’s my card...

I’m convinced if you’re not some white family with kids like the movie “we’re the millers”, there’s always going to be some suspicion when traveling alone.

Please be safe. I feel better knowing you’re not traveling alone on the road anymore.

TSA Pre-√ only costs $85 for a 5 year pass. Keep your light coat and shoes on, don't unpack you're toiletries. Seems easier that way.

FYI, IF you told the cops there was nothing to be found in your car, you probably 'protesth too much." You're fitting the profile... maybe you should set your speed at 5 mph over???

But I am still traveling though. Han Solo. Michael Knight. There’s not much options to do it any other way for his trip.

You have to understand: they don’t give options. The only options were: step outside while I run your information. That’s not an invitation. Then, after a few minutes, out of nowhere another pulls up with a K-9 dog. Things just went downhill from there. I just told them I didn’t consent.

But as usual, nothing turned up. And this was a full scale search. Once again, making shit look like a crime scene when in reality it was NOTHING. Just some bogus lane change warning AFTER following me for like 3 miles to find something that I could do wrong . Then I drove off...and went on my way. But lost an hour of my time. If my 2 appointments hadn’t already cancelled on me today, they would of considering how much time I lost over this bullshit.

I seen online that area in Oklahoma on i40 is “a checkpoint” for drug trafficking. Maybe @Shawn Monroe can add to that? But I’ve been traveling thru Oklahoma since 2009 and never been stopped once.

I think some of this is the works of the Trump administration, it didn’t used to happen this often. And it’s not like I have any prior stuff on my record for drugs nor I am on any type of bond/probation. I’m just a guy driving a car with out of area plate and it’s not like I have any prior stuff on my record for drugs nor I am on any type of bond/probation. I’m just a basic guy driving but who just happens to have ties in 3 different states.

I have met a lot of older clients who have ties in different states as well, One lived in Michigan and Florida, so he likely had a drivers license from one state and a license plate from another at different times. but I don’t always hear about it being a red flag for them.

But I guess if you’re not a dentis lawyer or some other type high paying professional, it just looks weird. But it’s safe to say, they didn’t seem to mind my gay porn dvds that I occasionally watch before going into a session. lol.
