I can't find a hotel in Chicago for less than $200 per night. Florida is similar. And Seattle is one of the worst

Really? Are you checking the 3rd party sites also? Well it must be the timing. I went between in between 2 big holidays...and I could have stayed anywhere I wanted for $70/$80. I was like wow, I never seen Chicago hotels that cheap.

Florida hotels are up now, but they go down between June and September. Summer/Hurricane season.

Seattle and Denver are both places that raise hotel prices simply because they know people are homeless.

Another option or way to view the same question would be "Which cities are sexually repressed" and although not definitive, but from my experience traveling and from speaking to about 12-15 escorts, this seems to be a great indicator or client need vs escort supply.

For example: In Montreal Canada, I have had horrible experiences working there. Reason being, Montreal is known for sex and open expressions of human contact, much more so then other citites such as Calgary or for that matter, Toronto. One would think Montreal is a great place for that, but in practice, the rates/hour are drastically less then others (NYC, Toronto, Boston etc.) and the demand from clients is much less as they have something like 13 bathhouses....

In my most successful trips have been in the most surprising of locations and my measure tool/question, has not let me down since I have put into practice.

Hope this helps and happy to answer other questions anyone may have in regards to my theory....

Cheers,

Sexually repressed communities can be very productive contingent upon the MSA/CSMA (metropolitan statistical area/combined metropolitan statistical area) size. >600,000 residents seems to usually provide a worthwhile return on my personal investment (time, travel, lodging, etc.), whereas <500,000 has not been worth it... IMHO.

And I've noticed DTW escorts have raised their rates. I contact two and they both want $300 and the one can't even host and said I'd have to pay for a hotel room! Absurd when I've hired porn stars in bigger cities that were well known and a lot cuter than these guys I contacted.

Like you, I'll just go without vs. paying $300 for an unkown escort.

glad you mentioned this. i'm curious about how to handle various markets. i live in nyc, and i'm well-reviewed with a good reputation, etc, so i feel i can charge what i charge, but i know other markets won't tolerate my rates, even if i were the second coming.

my question is - how would an escort manage changing his rates to suit the market without pissing off people in other markets? and without inciting confusion? my ultimate goal is to work and make money, but if i'm pricing myself out of certain markets and i could do something fairly about it, i would.

As @marylander1940 said, try Hotwire or Priceline. I recently stayed at the South Loop Hotel in Chicago for $64/nite which included free parking for both guests and visitors. It's only a 15 minute bus ride (which stops right in front and costs $2.50) up State Street to The Loop. Yes, a downtown hotel will cost $140-$200, even on Priceline, which does not include parking. The only problem with the South Loop Hotel was that it is located in a "food desert" though Burger King is only about a 5 minute drive. I never had any problem with escorts visiting - and they especially liked the free parking. The rooms are very clean and spacious, although I have to admit, while I was there (three days) I only saw about three other guests walking around, so I am not sure how they stay in business.

Supply and demand. Adjust the rates accordingly to the city. A house in NYC is going to sell for a hell of a lot more than the same house would in Manhattan. I travel a lot and I expect to pay a lot more for a hotel in NYC or SF than I would in Detroit.
