I live in SF Bay. Have no personal recommendations. But I load those apps and use them when traveling. And each time I prepare to leave or return to town, my phone lights up with notices about SF bars, events, etc. Each app has a feature to research travel destinations as well.... you can check before arriving here.

fml I just moved here too.

Well when I was visiting I would go to Beaux. There are some cute gogos there just no lap dances.

There's really no interest in a strip club here? All the gays must be fulfilled already.

The last time I was in SF for the weekend (2018), I only found one bar with go go dancers. It was in the SoMa district, not the Castro. It was either the Eagle or the Stud (can't remember which). There were no private rooms for last dances. It was just good eye candy

My thought on why SF may be missing any action like this is that it's some combo of high real estate prices and rents, low potential business income, and that SF is, just, simply above all this

In California it is illegal to have full nudity in a place that serves alcohol. So you will find no full nudity in any bars. (This goes for Los Angeles, San Diego, and Palm Springs as well, obviously.) The Nob Hill was the only place left that had that kind of action because it was theater and didn't serve alcohol.

On thursdays it functions as a piano bar. I happen to know who the pianist is: a fabulous jazz musician, lady of color, former chairman of the music dept at SF State, and current head of the Theatre dept.

A number of the bars have gogo dancers on certain nights, but as far as I know none offer lapdances. I'd expect it's for the reasons @J-Man mentions. I gogo dance at the Eagle from time to time, and though we're allowed to show our butts and lots of guys wear jocks, there can be no frontal nudity. If a bar gets caught with nudity (either dancers or patrons), they can get shut down for either a duration or permanently. However in my experience there can be lots of touching, including crotch and ass grabbing.

Now that Nob Hill is sadly closed, is there any place where porn stars dance, have sex, and also interact with the audience. I loved that place. FULL of sensuality and plain old sex energy. Really need to get to some place like that. Any recommendation anyone please.

 I hear you, man. Definitely miss places like this.... every now and then, I'm just all pent-up and wishing there were a Nob Hill Theater in Los Angeles (or anywhere for that matter--I'll fly there!!) where fun and excitement can be had!!

Miss that scene so much.   Really no fun left if we don't have lots of close friends with similar interests.  We are caught in a very tough time as cant even find folks to go around with when this damn pandemic is going around.  very frustrating.  no fun in life
