as OP and as per the TOS, I'm requesting that this thread remain civil, respectful toward all, and not hijacked......no real names or links to real names, of course!....thanks

I certainly realize Derek Atlas has a highly mixed reputation among clients......but many here have met Derek Atlas and are curious about his current situation.....some are hoping for the best for him and his family in the future.....I'm only posting here that he has a scheduled parole hearing coming up on Tuesday, January 22.......the location given in a Nevada government site is only a room number, so, without further research, I don't know if it'll be in Ely, where he is now, or in Carson City, Clark County, or where.......but I certainly don't plan to attend!......

edit: hearing will evidently be via a video conference between Carson and the Ely facility

Sadly when he gets out, if he goes back to escorting and living where he did prior to his incarceration, chances are almost certain he will go back to his old lifestyle and drug usage. The best thing for him and his family is if we find out he moved to a different area and got a new job devoid of all his past endeavors. Only chance the young man has.

He’s a gentle giant who made a mistake and got caught. Good luck to him! We can all be in his place one day asking for a 2nd chance!

Agreed! He will mostly likely have to remain in Nevada for the remainder of his parole.

Keeping it with the spirit of the OP @azdr0710 asked for this let’s don’t make assumptions of past and especially future behavior.

I don’t like your use of the word “lifestyle” in this case. His past lifestyle was about going to the gym a lot and pleasing his clients.

I think it's more that the Vegas area is a pretty damn hard one to live in for someone with addiction issues. It's just too easy to find what you are trying to avoid. The kids who grow up there tend to have more than their share of issues because of readily available temptations.

AGREED - It ain't called Sin City for nuthin!

15 years ago I conned my 19 year old son to drop the 15 year old model babe and move in with me in LA. Two years of deprogramming - "Son, life has choices, if you make the right ones things will go well, if you make the wrong ones, it's back to Sin City" He's still a pothead but he's a functioning pot-user gainfully employed after earning a 4.0 GPA Bachelor's from Berkeley and a marrying a beautiful, inside and out, woman.

It could have happened in Vegas but there's lots more vice on display and available there than even in LaLaLand.
