I noticed the good stuff I previously enjoyed on others' tumblr is.....<poof>.....gone. My tumblr is visible. I deleted alot of pics and never posted videos, so that may be the difference. But it's effectively dead because as soon as anyone complains to tumblr about something I post for whatever reason, I'm sure they will kill it.

Well, their "algorithm" scrolled through my tumblr and hid some of it from view. It's completely random what is now hidden and what is visible. Most of the hidden pics are just guys in speedos or sexy undies, or jocks, or showing some fine ass. Some of the hidden posts/pics are artistic and very tasteful, or just bare chests, even a guy draped in a US flag showing nothing. To restore them, I have to appeal each and every effected post they have flagged. They can f*** right off with that!

Most of the tumblrs I had bookmarked now show a message saying "This Tumblr may contain sensitive media" and a link to "go to my dashboard". Is there a setting I can set saying I'm okay with "sensitive media"?

I think that's what happens to all the now-banned tumblrs.....previously, we signaled our "ok" with sensitive media by logging in to tumblr (having registered, of course), but now, well............:(

I haven’t found a setting but I just open those in the usual way and I see the ‘sensitive’ material.

It may be that I have vanilla tastes but I haven’t been affected by this change. Of course, I have seen some shocking and kinky stuff such as the Ukrainian male model Igor Kolomiyets not displaying his erect cock (as on Sean Cody) and even wearing underwear.

I followed tons of pages that feautured guys who were available. Tumblr is taking them down since Verizon took over. It seems the gestapo is cracking down everywhere.

Did anyone ever visit these sites? Are any still up?

Do you mean escorts who had pictures on tumblr/Instagram or models who were available for escorting?

Anyways here's a thread explaining why tumblr is not what it used to be. Would a substitute come up?

Yes I have noticed hardcore stuff keeps appearing more and more. Not complaining, as I haven’t found another worthy platform yet, but haven’t been seriously looking - I find taking a break from porn now and then is a good thing for my physical body :)

I never really found that reasonably erotic stuff to have left. I had tagged some sites that I had followed and some of those are gone but then again when I find something individual pic it sometimes brings up four other pics that I like as well. And then I can follow that site (and follow it) and find some erotic photos that I can post. It also brings up some photos that our gallery would not let me post any way. So since Tumblr made its announcement I can get photos for the Gallery and manipulate myself if I feel like multitasking. Not sure what everybody else's finding is?

Verizon sells Tumblr to Wordpress owner six years after $1.1 billion deal.

UPDATE:

For those who are interested in Tumblr...Verizon has sold it.

Reports indicate Tumblr was sold for $3 million that’s an incredible plunge in value from the $1.1 billion Yahoo paid in 2013. Neither Yahoo or Verizon had a clue on how to manage this platform. It will be interesting to see what the WordPress parent company does with this asset.
