Are clients responsible for air tickets?

I live in DC and I am turned on by a hot dude in LA. He said he is happy to set something up. Is he saying that I can fly him here in addition to the cost of time together?I don’t know what’s the rule. Thanks.

 

No, that's not the rule but often happens that a client flies an escort for an overnight and instead of going back home the next day he decides to stay in town a few days seeing other clients.

 

I know escorts who won't fly anywhere without an "anchor", a client who will pay for the flight and/or commit to multiple hours to see him guaranteeing a profitable trip.

 

Maybe the guy you want is concerned about investing money on a flight and hotel and have clients flake on him making him loose money. Possibly he's been burned before going to places to have guys cancel because of a death in the family, flu, falling in love, etc.

 

At the end it's up to you to make the choice to invite him or not.

All the above said, there are escorts who will travel to your location if you pay a certain amount for a hotel for them. You pay their accommodation and they will meet you for a certain time. You need to ask them, don't assume anything. My rule of thumb is if I want to meet a gentleman, I travel to them,

I flew a guy in a couple of years ago, he contacted me after I looked at his ad. He was in San Francisco, I'm in Michigan. He did all the legwork of the flights, found something very inexpensive, my only involvement in the logistics was paying for his tickets.

This is a great subject.

 

I constantly see pics on social media etc of escorts flying in business class. Many clients do this ! I know personally more than a couple of the top guys and believe me flying itself is a luxury to most of them. They use MegaBus or their worn-out jalopy usually. Business class? Really?

That said some of the guys I know do get flown to the far east by clients. Often Singapore. If the client thinks business class is good for that long a trip, more power to them. Make sure the goods are refreshed and rested.

Pretty much all escorts I know have a good membership in an airline ant that allows them to get an upgrade because of their status or using miles.

I can't imagine an escort who flies that many times a week to gain status that would get upgrades. I know accountants who fly a couple times a week on the same airline who never earn status. I wish status were that easy. It's very hard.

Status is much easier to obtain than you seem to believe. Just learn the system and use it to your AAdvantage.

Yup, at the risk of going peak nerd, one round trip a week for 50 weeks a year on American at an average fare (net of taxes) of $90 each way would get you to Platinum Pro.

I’ve also found that for some reason it’s much cheaper to pay to upgrade on American than on United for some flights. Of course if your status is high enough the upgrade is free.

Reaching 100K would only require flying 8k per month. A trip to HNL from DC alone is 10,000 miles, and going to any West Coast city (SD, SF, LA, SEA) is 5 k each. Some escorts also do a run on miles to kick up their mileage last minute in order to reach a higher statues.

 

Jeff Holt (now retired) was 125K on Delta for yeas because of flying a lot from his home in San Diego and also because of only using the Delta card.

 

Obviously your friends from Bel Ami take the train and Ryan Air and don't fly twice a month like some escorts here in the U.S.

Earning status isn't as easy as it used to be with minimum spend now in play, but it's certainly possible if you have some amount of brand loyalty.

If you're in a one-airline hub like Atlanta or Dallas or Houston I can see brand loyalty and jumping through all the hoops to earn status. But for those of us in multi-choice big cities there are too many choices for better flights to stick with one airline.

 

My friends in Prague do sometimes get flown to dates but usually on discount airlines. They also get taken on vacations from the Carribean to Thailand. But the big odd item is getting flown into the far east (Singapore, etc) by a client. Now, for those invitations I have heard them ask for only business-class tix because the flight is so long. But otherwise going to Zurich to work they all pile in one guy's 20-year old car for the 8-hour drive or if lucky grab a $39 airfare on Vueling or Sichaun.

All these details and reward programs aside (which I feel have complicated a very simple question), the answer is yes.

 

Frustrations arise on both ends when you complicate the process.

 

If a client reaches out to me and he is not local my first question is “do you intend to visit” or “are you interested in having me travel to where you are?”

 

If the client is interested in having me travel to where he is... I am not paying, period. While many of you have rewards (as do I) and that’s a kind gesture to utilize points, miles, etc. Why?

 

If a client is new to sending for an escort (i.e the OP of the thread), I usually negotiate my rate, as pricing can be a tough pill to swallow for newcomers who don’t realize they must cover airfare also, but I mean 90% of my out of town clients understand that they’re paying for convenience and must cover airfare and make the arrangements quickly.

 

Being on a budget and trying to send for someone is not realistic. Search locally if it’s not in your price range.
