At what point is it acceptable to ask a provider for the password to their private photos ?

Usually I find the public photos sufficient.

There is one provider who has sufficient public photos for me to hire, but I am really curious as to his private photos.

I am reluctant to ask as the initial contact and always think that if you ask after making hiring arrangements the provider will be concerned that you will cancel based on the private photos.

Am curious as to when providers think it is appropriate to ask for the private photo password and the best approach.

I don’t think there are any real “rules” around this. If there are, I’ve been ignoring them! :D They can say yes, they can say no or they can fail to respond. Each of those will tell you something about the provider. Would be interested to see if one of the providers here on the forum has a point of view... ;)

I ask all the time, without any sort of previous discussion. They always give it to me.

New too, if I am window shopping and want to see more I will ask for them - without a special message. 90% of the time they unlock. It’s part of the “online shopping” experience

You can always upgrade to a premium account to avoid asking. It’s one of the perks of being a premium user access to private content.

I don’t think I’ve ever asked.

Usually the public photos are enough for me to make a decision.

I might make an exception if there were only one generic public photo and several private ones.

I don’t think there’s any problem with blindly asking at first contact though.

After all, the photos are there to generate business.

That works for some, but not all private photos. It seems that the advertiser can specify whether he wants premium members to see the photos or whether everyone (including premium members) has to ask for a password.

I've only asked once via RM. Someone who posted an ad that he would be visiting in a month or so, had only one public photo, but several private/semi private. Wrote a short note instead of defaulting to the generic RM text. Never got a response, and he never visited.

Another guy I actually met, and as I was dressing, asked for the password for private pics. Said he didn't remember.

RentMen lock our pics depending of what's going on in them. I personally don't voluntarily want any of them private so I unlock a couple of times a day when I see that somebody has looked at my profile. Also... RentMen makes it easy for you to ask with just a mechanical request.

The responses to this question match my experience as a provider on RM-which is that clients expect escorts to unlock their galleries without question based on the generic request. I'm used to this now, but I have to say I still don't fully understand it. If I'm just going to unlock my photos for anyone without knowing anything about them, why would I make them private in the first place?

My current policy is to respond to generic unlock requests with a prompt for a basic introduction i.e. name (real or fake), desired services, and possible dates for meeting. 90% of the time I don't hear back. Another 9% of the time the response makes it clear the RM user is not serious about meeting me. The other 1% are genuine clients who have simply grown accustomed to escorts unlocking the gallery without question. Honestly, though, the vast majority of my clients are people who took the time to write at least a simple introduction before requesting private photos, or booked without ever seeing them.

Do I miss out on some clients because of this policy? Probably. If every other escort just unlocks the gallery, I can't blame a client for passing me by. But discretion and clear boundaries are important to me and I am a low-volume escort anyway, so this is a trade off I find is worth making.

One reason would be that private pictures are not findable using a search engine, like google.

That is because google doesn’t have your passcode for private pics.

But the public ones are indexed by google and findable.

So if you don’t want your face to come up in any type of google search, put them in the private section.

I love this policy and my sentiments are similar. Too generous a number of clients are just aimlessly clicking through ads with no intent to book when a decision can be made with viewing the photos readily available.

You should ask whenever you want to see them. That's what it seems most do. Its kinda like shopping, maybe? You see the new Nikes in the window (or web page), you go into the store to see them in person, (or click to see them up close). neither of the second step options will annoy a sales person nor guarantee a purchase.

I love when I get a message asking me to unlock my nonexistent private pics. Clarifies rather quickly that the guy is just bulk messaging a bunch of us without reading the ads first.

As always, The Slater has spoken and he's spot-on

I get those kinds of messages and they immediately end up in the trash

I, too, note that folks seem to just fire off the generic request and think nothing of it. I get dozens of requests - folks all over the world, most of which never send me any message at all beyond that request. I typically just unlock because if it means that much for someone to see some pics of my dick, fine. If someone does send me a message making the request, I grant it but also point them to my twitter and my websites as I post there much more frequently.

Personally, I would advise most folks looking around to read carefully - a lot of us link you to better pics, our sites, social media, etc - in the body of our ads Also, make google your friend - very often you'll find more and better pictures somewhere else as I don't think most of us keep our RM private gallery updated as often as we might other outlets.

I am finding this a useful method currently in trying to select a masseur. I don't want (read: can't afford) an escort right now, plus I'm just looking for a 'little' extra. Rentmasseur is great as it lists therapeutic, sensual or erotic but a site like Masseurfinder doesn't. I've been able to cross check some masseurs via name or phone number to other sites with 'fuller' descriptions of their services and different pictures.
