My uncle (father's brother) had a vacation home in Kauai. After he died his widow did not want to go alone so she took her sister-in-law (my aunt, the sister of my uncle and my father).

My uncle's widow paid all the expenses. She flew first class. My aunt economy.

The widow rented a car. She'd take it and play golf almost every day leaving my aunt home.

You know, it's hard to muster up too much sympathy for someone getting a free trip to Hawaii.

I really tried to.

I have no interest is visiting Hawaii. I'd rather go somewhere that had museums and old churches etc..

I was once driving in Arizona and went out of my way to visit the Grand Canyon "just 'cuz".

I was more impressed with the old missions

Hawaii has a LOT more history than most places. Ancient battles on the Pali, whaling out of Lahaina, Hawaiian royalty, the volcanoes and the observatories on them with snow in July, Dole plantation history, Japanese migration, Chinese migration, Filipino migration, even Pearl Harbor (tho I discourage that). And top art museums, including the best of Polynesian art and history.

I prefer European history; I'm more familiar with it.

Economy all the way, baby...unless someone else is paying!

Which brings me to an issue.......way too many escorts who are brought to them by clients fly business class. The same guys I know who fly $50 tickets from Prague to Zurich on Vueling to work sucking dick at Paragonya for a week pop up on my Instagram or FB with a selfie in Business Class on a flight to Singapore or Malaysia. Do clients really think that these guys expect business class? That's like $6000 instead of $700.

I fly my best guys on Southwest. They're thrilled.

Depends.

Less then 6 hours?....I have no problem with the back of the bus.

Greater than 6?.....at least business class.

Overnight?....must be flat.

If I can’t afford to abide by the above “rules”?....I don’t go until I can.

PS Your aunt sounds horrific. Either everyone I’m traveling with travels

in the same class as me....or I down grade and rough it with them.....

or I don’t go.

Her life centered around her husband.

First, Except, if I’m traveling with a coworker. If I can’t get them into first (at my expense), I will fly in whatever class they’re in. I would never travel with someone else and have them in a lower seat category than me.

Would not have been an issue at all for me. I was able to visit St. John in the U.S. Virgin Island under similar circumstances.

Bring someone with you (in a different section of the plane on an all-day flight) and then strand them in the hotel all day?

No class.

Who cares? She is on vacation, and she is only alone during the day. Surely, she can find something to do during the day. @Avalon did not write she was poor, and had no money. I do agree about plane seats.
