Hi, how can you politely ask someone to prove that they're real and that their pics are real? I assume asking for a Skype meeting or a pic sent right away with a time/date stamp is common, but how do you broach the topic without offending them?

Looking at someone with ID and Photo verified on rentmen and with only 1 questionable review on rentmen.

Thanks for the help!

Forget about using pictures to verify pictures. Three finger selfies are like Blockbusters, they belong to a different era.

Ask for a videoconference. Skype, WhatsApp, FaceTime, there are so many ways to do it. If they refuse, it is a quite strong sign they may be fake.

You could ask him a trick question about something he did in a porn video and see if he lies.

The OP is probably talking about about a <rentmen “pornstar”>, which is different from “a pornstar”.

On rentmen, escorts are called pornstar. But most of them have never been in any porn movie, let alone be the star of one.

Thanks! I did not know that.

Yeah, I refer to myself as a 'porn character actor'.

Hi @bobj69 and welcome to the forum. That's a good question, because you can't rely on RM verification. You seem pretty polite so probably already have the answer to your question about broaching the subject. Just ask them politely using neutral terms. For example: "I'm interested in meeting, but for first-time meetings usually ask for a quick Facetime or recent photo with a date stamp. Does that sound OK?"

If that question offends a provider or they seem sketchy, I would pass. However, some escorts are discreet and genuinely concerned about sending face pics to strangers. In that case, you'll have make a judgement call - and make sure to meet first in a public place where you can walk away if he doesn't match his profile.

At this point if I get such a request I just assume you're new to the Internet or life in general and give you two options:

A. I am real, my authenticity is already proven. If you're unable to see that, then I don't want you as a client and will cut off communication.

B. I can send you a verification photo and tweet it out. However, the consequence of going this route will result in being placed on the blacklist plus the horrendous feeling of you fucking up.

In either case, if you persist in wasting my time you won't be seeing me because I don't have time for your shenanigans.

Obviously for less established providers & personalities, they are not in a position to do what I do.

Gee, forgive me for pointing out that your comment makes you sound...ummm...a bit full of yourself. Those of us who have been burned in the past have legitimate grounds to request some form of verification. That you will not deign to address the concerns of potential customers in an industry full of scammers, hucksters, and frauds says a great deal. So by all means, please put me on your blacklist now.

All providers on RM are called porn stars, whether they really are or not.

Thankfully not all pornstars on Rentmen delete most all of their 20+++ yr old pics & then directly resubmit them so that those pics have recent uploaded dates attached to them....neat trick.

have to totally agree with tenderloin on this one. there seems to be some arrogance or elitism in kurts reply. for $300+ per hour, overnights in the thousands and weekends much more, one should have to deal with such minor pittances.

i understand there are a lot of flakes out there. i truly do. we arent talking minimum wage here. this is attorney level pay. many attorneys give out free consultations in the beginning to get business. i dont see how taking a few minutes, even with whack jobs is asking too much for this sort of pay.

LOL! Someone really had a bowl full of themselves this morning!

Dude, the OP was talking specifically about a provider "with ID and Photo verified on rentmen and with only 1 questionable review on rentmen."

Which obviously isn't you.

And yeah, you come off like an arrogant asshole in your response, TBH.

When someone is making $300+/hr then you better fucking believe I am gonna ask for a verification if I am unsure.

And nah, I wouldn't be feeling the "horrendous feeling of fucking up" (seriously I almost pulled a muscle from rolling my eyes so hard when I read that) I'd be feeling the joy of sweet relief in knowing that I avoided hiring someone who has such a shitty attitude towards potential clients.

Being on your blacklist would be like a blessing sent directly from sweet baby jebus himself.

Having never heard of him before, I don't see why I would want to give him my money based on his post. Sounds awfully full of himself.

I've used the three finger selfie trick. I've also asked them to write the date and time and my name on a piece of paper and send a pic of them holding it up.

Ultimately the facetime/skype option is the most foolproof.

I've found that as long as you are honest and upfront and respectful of their time, most guys are willing to verify their identity.

And a provider who is willing to take a few extra steps to quell any doubt or anxiety about a potential client gets big points in my book.

GOod luck and welcome to the forum!

Luckily my own eyes had just recovered from some serious rolling the other day after escort/poster @FTM Zachary Prince stated in another thread how he insisted on business class tickets being provided when being hired under certain circumstances that required traveling.....those words from Kurtis gave me yet another opportunity to have some severe eye rolling too.

So I guess you have reached a point in your career where you are using your business processes to manage demand.

Pornstars tend to have social media and they tend to post places they're travelling. So if on their Twitter and Instagram they tend to say they're there and that's how I can verify if they're real. There was one guy that kept borrowing the same old pics of some else but they were well known enough to see in their social media they weren't even in the same country.

While it may sound like I'm full of myself, I'm actually trying to effectively manage my limited time better and I do not need clients who waste my time with a verification process that simply isn't needed in my case because of how everything is linked together. If you're unable to put the pieces together to determine my ad is legitimate, then I would suggest not spending your money on hiring providers.

I'm actually tentatively planning on delisting my ad at the end of the year and closing it all off to new clients unless you have a referral.

Having more work requests than you want or need to do is a really good position to be in. You must be doing something right during the meets (and at the gym).

Another way to reduce the number of requests while keeping the same income is to increase your price. That’s a bummer for me as a client, but I can’t say “it’s a supply&demand market” when it suits me, and refuse to say it when it is not in my favour. That would be hypocritical, wouldn’t it?

part of a supply-and-demand market is price negotiation, so I wouldn't think you were hypocritical if you tried to get a provider to be flexible as to price. but, the provider is always free to say no.
