I meant to respond to this. Yes, the styling is weird and ridiculous but it has nothing to do with his age. It's from when he was trying to be a professional model and he needs new photos—but B. is too much of a weirdo I think to make that career work for him. So it's true that it's much more common in the UK to see the word "Asian" refer to South Asian/Desi/From the Mother Continent folks; in the US "Asian" almost always means people of East Asian descent. However, my hot take is that if you look at semantics, a "South Asian" is still an Asian, I don't think any of us white people should let this confuse us too much.
