Spending the day in the city turned out to be a good idea. I was surprised how easy it was to book Alex. Responsive and courteous. I've already paid for parking lol. Looking forward to a great weekend. Will follow up after...

You guys are awesome! Thank you all. @JackNYC I’m starting to change my tune on that one. I’m good to go in to the city, plus i think i might have a better experience if I’m in the masseur’s own space.
Blessings seems hard to beat. I’ll reach out this evening. A little nervous, but the excitement has the upper hand at the moment. So let’s see what happens…

Wholeheartedly agree with Blessings. He was one of my very first private masseur hires and I had an incredible experience with him as a relative newbie (and on several occasions after that)

Welcome to the forum!  Of your choices, Blessing is truly a blessing!  Hot, fit, tight sexy body aims to please.  He will provide a great massage and open to work with you so that you leave happy.   Magnificent view from his apt.  You can't go wrong with him.  George is a hit and miss.  It depends on his mood of the day.  He provided a good massage with me but nothing sensuous about it at all.  No comment on Alexi.  I've never seen him.  Jose is hot and sexy but sometimes difficult to schedule.  He provides a good massage if the stars are aligned.  Try to catch Blessings as your #1.  You won't regret it.  Be up front with him.  Tell him what you desire.  Don't play guessing games.  He'll loosen you up.  Enjoy!

Hi gents! 50, recently divorced after 30 years (to a woman), free to play and explore. Just a little casual reading here was enough to put me at ease, so THANK YOU for this community and forum! (I'll happily become a supporter once I get established and figure out how to pay discreetly lol.)
So erotic massage, to me, seems like a good way to test the waters. And while I'm excited for the potential of extras, I really do want a good massage. I'm one of the most tightly wound people on the planet right now! So I'm prepared to sit and sucomb to the right hands...
A bad first experience (with no good one to compare it to) could set me back, so for this initial plunge, I'm asking for recommendations for providers that are established and known to be consistent in their service and offerings.
I'll be traveling to Jersey City later this coming week and I visit there regularly, so I'm looking there. I prefer outcall to my hotel, both nude. Someone younger (<35) and easy on the eyes would be nice. Here's my "short list":
https://rentmasseur.com/Blessings (I'd do incall, nice apt I hear)
    https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/6239/ ("George")
    https://rentmasseur.com/BodyworkByAlexi
    https://rentmasseur.com/Jose_ok (mixed reviews lately?)
Also if expectations are clear up front, I can have a worry-free session, so that's my hope. I don't want to compromise anyone by asking the wrong thing, but some reasonable odds of a release would be nice. I want to be an exemplary client, so erring on the side of caution while I learn etiquette.
    Thanks!

Sadly, I've read on here how some guys treat tipping a masseur like a restaurant... so 18% on $75 is $13.50, and they feel generous giving $15. Now, if they read this, 18% of $55 is $9.90, so $10 is fair. Plus, they expect a sensual HE.
A good $75 sensual massage in a spa setting deserves a $75 tip minimum.

Amen baby!!! Totally agree with this. We want to be treated with extras we have to be willing to give extras and not scare off our service givers.

    Thank you Ben!!
If it's true (and I'll bet it is) that $20/hr is the high end rate at NYC mens spas, then $20 should be the baseline tip for a massage with zero extras. Any service beyond that should be generously acknowledged.
You cheapskates out there are ruining it for everyone when you get great service and don't tip accordingly. If masseurs expect to get shitty tips, they are forced to negotiate.
Lead the way, be a gentleman, and tip well. The next customer will reap the benefit and one day that customer might be you!

This is interesting, thanks for this. Now I get why some masseurs in other spas ask for tips. Specially if they ended the session happily. That is, if this is the general commission rate for majority, if not all, the men’s spa.

    Thanks for asking.

I haven’t work in other men spa for about 6 years.  As far as I know. This level should be the most high at market.

(I am sorry I think I shouldn’t expose other spas information so i deleted).

I like what you wrote here.  It is very similar to how I like to operate.
My question is - if you had asked for an erotic massage instead of the blended experience, would the ask price have been $160 as well, or would it have been higher?

A purely erotic session would have been more $$$
BUT ...I do genuinely enjoy a massage before I get-off. So rarely looking for a purely erotic session.
Plus his space is a large studio in a professional building that isn't really conducive to a full-on sexual session. I'd want a more private/ cozy corner if I were really getting into an interactive moment.

I have an amazing LMT I see for therapeutic massages. For various forms of relaxation I go to places like Shangrila. I don’t recommend getting a “deep tissue massage” from there. I once got increased back tension from bad technique; my LMT fixed it. Since then I tell unlicensed masseurs to go light. And they do a great job. Having said all that, Rafa definitely has more skills than most. So I think you’d enjoy his massage if you do like a bit more of a therapeutic session. I’d def recommend seeing an LMT for a proper therapeutic massage though.

I saw him back on the schedule as Lucas at Shangrila. Haven’t confirmed with him, the spa, or any clients yet that it’s the same person but I’m guessing it is.

If you read the whole thread, this was discussed.
Yes, you are correct. The provider is receiving the whole fee so tipping is definitely optional.
BUT, American culture would dictate that IF that provider went out of his way to create a superior experience during the service, or provided ANY additional services that weren't a standard definition of either massage or escorting, then showing one's appreciation with a tip, is normal.
American culture was based on the idea that people are not slaves. There is an expected reward for going the extra mile.

Mostly agree. If the provider goes above and beyond I have no problem with compensating for that effort or consideration as I would anyone else in the service industry. In other words - gratuity.

You are free to do whatever you want. No one is forcing you to tip, right?  I choose to tip - I do so at my discretion. Isnt choice a beautiful thing?
